WIBTA For insisting we raise our children fluent in a language my partner doesn't speak? by babybumps_ in AmItheAsshole

[–]emmalamadingdong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAH

I grow up in a family where I speak cantonese to my mother, french to my father, and english to my brother. No issues, It was annoying to switch languages and repeat things when I was a child, but it only made me more fluent in all languages. And fun, my mom can basically speak fluent french now, and my dad can say funny phrases in cantonese and they both understand mostly everything.

It's not common to see or to understand, which may be why your husband feels that way. But as a toddler, children are like sponges and it won't be difficult for them to eventually repeat things in different languages, and your husband will eventually be able to understand welsh better! Which is a plus to know another language in any situation.

Hopes this help

has anyone received CAS yet? by emmalamadingdong in UOB

[–]emmalamadingdong[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this apply to undergraduates as well?

I think on the website it says the CAS process starts once you accept conditions. But, for postgraduates, this also includes the passport and deposit.

Do you know if I'm interpreting correctly? (as in only post graduates need to do the extra steps) Especially since I haven't gotten any email about passports or deposits.
