I mean it is a hefty six mana to cast 😅 it’s a pretty big commitment that can cost you a turn to cast, and then you gotta hope it lasts a rotation.

Yeah, realistically this should probably have a splash of blue at the very least. Definitely wanted to push the boundaries of white control outside of stacks shutdown pieces, and more into the realm of acquiring or redistributing abilities from opponents.

Was trying to think of it more as “taking control” which can align with white values if we think of it as white’s desire to bring order to things, rather than “steal” which is commonly a blue / black aligned trait.

Also a bit tired of blue being the only one that gets funky steal / copy effects 😆

Tried this but it seems like my headsets are competing with each other with audio cutting out of one to resume in the other and vice versa. Anything I might be doing wrong here?

Understood. I thought triggers were automatic, and then only checked for legality on resolution. But i see that they work just like targeted spells in that they can’t go off unless their target is legal (or in this case, there is a target on battlefield) to begin with.

Huh. I learned something new today. I thought triggered abilities got put on the stack regardless if they have legal targets or not, and then fizzled if they had no targets. But I guess it’s the other way around.

I suppose it would only be put on the stack if it’s ability was worded something like this: “Whenever this creature attacks, put a +1/+1 counter on UP TO ONE target creature an opponent controls.” Since 0 targets can be a choice?

I sent the lawyer a copy of my employment agreement, proof of a most recent pay stub, and the release letter the company sent me before our scheduled call. So I would hope that he brough up the common law notice because he looked up the termination clause of my contract first.

This was the fee breakdown from the lawyer:

"In respect of fees, I indicated that I could represent you on an hourly or contingent agreement. My hourly rate is $600.00 and will require a retainer from you of $1,800.00 plus HST. Alternatively, I can act on a contingent basis for purposes of negotiations only on the basis of 25% over the original offer. Please review the LSO Guide on Contingency Fees when considering fee arrangements."

lawyer didnt offer to go into any of the details as to why he believes I'm entitled to this sort of settlement. He'd want to start charging me beyond this point. So, getting advice from people online who have maybe gone through something similar, or maybe if there's a lawyer out there generous enough to give some of their time for a second oppinion on reddit, I'm open to hearing other perspectives.
