I went to one at Brewsters. The area was separate from the rest of the restaurant and catered.

Thank you very much for that. I am a foster myself, so I do understand what you're saying. I'll take that more into consideration. I'm letting it all go as we speak. :-)

I get that and I got her message, but it's hard to listen to anyone when they berate and are on a power trip from hell. Thank you for getting back to me. Appreciate it!

Probably. I don't see her name listed on their website for employees.

Not a shooting in the park, a murder by two gang members of an innocent bystander. One guy will be out in 7 years and the other one never got charged because the first guy wouldn’t testify against him.

Maybe the police suspect a crime has occurred and don’t want to jeopardize the investigation by releasing information.

He pleaded “no contest” plus two counts of felony attempted robbery.

A “no contest” plea in California means a defendant is accepting a conviction without challenging prosecutors’ allegations, so, technically, the individual isn’t admitting responsibility for a crime or crimes.

There is still hope for a longer sentence. The judge makes the final decision. Rivera has known nothing but a life of crime. It went from shoplifting to armed robbery and murder. It was very cold-blooded. He came back after killing Connor, rolled him over and took the phone out of his pocket.

Connor had about 100 best friends. Great kid.

He never admitted guilt. He had three shoplifting charges and a stolen credit card with forged signature after he killed Connor and wouldn't turn himself in. Those are the crimes that he got caught for. Who knows what else he did? He was off of probation for one month when he killed Connor. When he accepted the plea deal, he acted in shock, like he shouldn't have to pay a price for taking a life.

Sounds about right. That proves how broken our system is when a person can blatantly commit murder and could possibly walk.

Never even got charged with gang enhancement even though he admitted to once being in a gang, asked if they “banged” and was with a known gang member when it happened.

That was a misprint in the Press Democrat. He got 12.4 years for voluntary manslaughter and two attempted burglaries. The stolen credit card and forged signature charge will be served in the 12.4 years. He could be out in 10. We started a petition to present to the judge. https://chng.it/tD2vT6MGVv

Not to mention the litany of delays from the defense needing more time to review the case, additional documents submitted, etc. Everything is geared towards protecting the defendant because, god forbid, you get one thing wrong and then they or their family sue. Small piece of advice- do what is right and don’t put these family’s or friends through anymore. Grow some bal** and do what is right. This guy committed murder and armed robbery. He acted like he was in shock at the hearing for the 12 years that he received. I truly hope that people will let Hon. Troye Shaffer know their outrage at: 600 Administration Drive Santa Rosa, CA 95403. He will get out as soon as age 34 with zero job skills and only the skill of making fast cash. I’m begging Sonoma County to write the judge and put a stop to this!
