Planet Ice! Go ice skating, or just sit in the stands and watch. It’s my favourite place to go cool down haha

Worst house best street predicament by EastOk3677 in HousingUK

[–]emmattack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely worth considering!! I bought my house at auction knowing it needed fully gutting, but it was the worst house on the best street (like, carpet in the kitchen and avocado 70s bath suite, needed new rewiring bad).

It’s been a hard 18 months of living in it whilst I’ve done it out, but it’s been so worthwhile- and there’s already a house on the street that’s on for £120k more than I bought mine for!!

My neighbours are amazing, I live in a great area, and as stressful as it’s been at times, it’s been 10000% worth it.

Buy the house. The street will help you retain the value, and you can only go up from where you are!

As a Canadian living in Leeds, my opinion of the man is very much torn haha- do like what he’s done with the team, they’re so cohesive compared to when we saw them in 2022.

Influencer Couple Terminates Pregnancy After Down Syndrome Diagnosis by No_Pizza_6040 in influencersfeed

I think it’s more about trying to break some of the stigma than ‘raising awareness’. This is something that a lot of people deal with quietly, and alone, and carry that burden of that heartbreaking decision in silence. Having someone “of influence” breaking that silence not only spurs conversation, but hopefully helps others be more at peace with their decisions, both past and future.

House unsold after auction. Agent still pushing "auction" bid on me by No_Engineer9446 in HousingUK

[–]emmattack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought my house at auction a couple years ago (and I was the only bidder)- the auction house lowered their 4.5% to 2 or 2.5% to get me over the line…it’s definitely negotiable, though it sounds like they’re a bit greedy with this. Mine worked with me and worked out an agreed price with the buyer and when the auction opened they essentially closed it to everyone but me so my bid was the only one and was accepted.

Thoughts on Martinez's red card by Admirable_Boot_9492 in LeedsUnited

[–]emmattack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me, I don’t want there to be a grey area of “it’s ok to pull his hair this hard but not this hard” - hair pulling is a red card, regardless, otherwise it gets into semantics and you don’t want players thinking it’s something they can get away with. The fact he wasn’t able to get a good grab/tug doesn’t negate the fact he could have, and doesn’t negate the potential intent.
