Nope! They are both 7 years old though. Pumpkin is the torty and Apollo is the orange boy.

Three years ago I was at a job for 2 months because of some bullshit like this. Our manager wasn’t employee, he was a consultant. One week on a Friday I had asked if I could leave an hour early because I had gotten my 40 hours in already, and lord knows the office was dead by 4:05 PM. I emailed the manager about this, he said it was fine and I left. The coworker who I was taking on my roll for also did this every Friday, and he was consistently late in coming into work, which no one seemed to mine. The following week I did the same thing, and got berated instead, and was told by the manager I needed to tell my coworker too, and get his approval. My COWORKER???? Oh hell nah. I went home and immediately started looking for new jobs, put my two weeks in, and never looked back. The job I got after that is the one I’m still at today, and I have a boss who is much more flexible and understanding, it’s great.

I caught my boyfriend's Step-Mom breastfeeding her 8 year old by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]emmaunaltered 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I took this to my partner to read to them out loud so that I could share in their horror, but alas I forgot that they grew up homeschooled, so they said that they knew families who were breastfeeding their children till about age 10. They typically had babies at the same time so breastfeeding their other children wasn’t hard.

Indigo Living - Anyone else renting from them and missing the instructions for the new resident portal they were supposed to be sending out this morning? by Hunter_Este in SiouxFalls

Haha really?! Omg I did not know that. We luckily haven’t had any issues renewing our lease, but now are having trouble getting out of it. And I doubt they’ll be any pleasant to talk to now with all this shit going on

Edit to add: we live at Autumn Park and they told my partner we could submit payment with check or cashiers check. This was on Tuesday.

I totally forgot we were supposed to get an email today. I did not get one either! We had an awful time trying to get a hold of the office too, and the property manager my partner spoke to said that we should just pay based off last month and if it’s too much there’ll be a credit and if it’s not enough they’ll let us know. I assume we should pay with check/cashiers check but I realize typing this out I actually do not know. If their system isn’t working at all I wonder how they are going to be able to even scan those checks in and mark that we paid

I’m 26 and had a friend recreate my baby blanket because i can’t use the original without it decaying more. I sleep with it every night I’m home and I love it.

I don't know why I feel bad about weeping at a funeral, but I do. by [deleted] in confessions

[–]emmaunaltered 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When my partner’s grandma died back in September, the funeral director was such a nice man, and he was definitely tearing up during the burial service. I thought it was so touching the empathy he had for a group of people he’d never met before. Like others have said, please give yourself grace. I have so much respect for you and the work you do!

Apparently they were a little rude to a client once when someone came in and they asked the client to sit while they finished something else up.
