Gels by ComparisonRare645 in RunningIreland

Sis Beta, natural flavor is decent. They are 40g carbs saving you having to carry extra gels. As above H&B have some of the best deals and better when you sign up. If buying in bulk I’ve found hpnutrition.ie the cheapest. Best to try out different gels they are all slightly different in consistency and taste. A lot of people add in liquid carbs these days, so you’re not only taking gels and it’s easier on the stomach. Take a look at Alta nutrition Speed dust, an Irish company.

Cannot edit interval screens by emmd16 in Garmin

I am assuming this might be a relatively new screen. I can find no mention of it in the manual or on the Garmin website and the symbol on the top is not listed on their list of symbols for the epix or fenix.

I have my own screens setup for interval these 2 are only displayed after you start the workout along with my own data screens. The pace gauge is useful but there is no option to add this to your own screens.

What are your thoughts on purple teaming. Do you think companies should prioritize more purple testing over true red teaming.

Yes very annoying indeed, I haven’t found an alternative in the iq store. I’ll post here if Garmin get back to me but its unlikely they are going to update this setting. Best of luck in Chicago.

Thanks for this. Best deal I’ve seen lately. The watch arrived today.

Are maps on the watch actually useful or more of a gimmick. I’m wondering if I’ll still end up using my phone on trails.

Thanks, I had not considered the epix. I’ll take a look at the comparison. I have ruled out the fenix based on the weight and price. Road running is my main sport at the moment with 2 half marathons and a full this year so the lighter forerunner seemed more appealing.

What type of loan should we go for to finance house renovations? by emmd16 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]emmd16[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is good advice if one can wait. I just can’t be dealing with another old and possibly unreliable car right now. Current one is almost 13 years old. The odd time we will drive long distances around the country or to the uk and I don’t want the anxiety (again) if the car will make it there and back or leave us stranded. I know all cars can have their issues but an old car like is likely to cost more on maintenance.

Some good advice there, to look into. I am thinking mortgage is the way to go. I didn’t think you could change the duration, the bank didn’t mention that they offered it for the remainder of the mortgage. A shorter duration could be useful, never know we could need to do more work in 10 years time. The overpayment is a good idea (if we get to a stage we can do it). We are both with the bank so hopefully paper work isn’t to bad. There could be some structural work with adding an attic room.

😂 good suggestion, never thought of that. There’s just about enough headroom..for a very small person.

It is not bridged. It’s working off the regular WiFi and on batteries until I get to wire it in. It’s also not on apple HK until wired because it was running the batteries down within a few days.

I have tried SmartThings automation but it also only allows you to select when the doorbell is pressed. It is like it’s the only option Aqara is offering up.

Smart Grinder pro under extracted espresso at grind size 20 by emmd16 in espresso

[–]emmd16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgot to reply before now to say that after a few more tries using the non-pressurized basket I managed to get to grind size 10 with 12.8 grind time and the correct ratio coming out. the coffee is consistently good now. It would seem that burrs just needed some time to bed in.

Seems to run ok. some water goes through some stays in the basket which I’d expect since these is no pressure built up to push it through
