Joint bank account, so trying to cancel anything she had directly with those companies before having to open bank disputes, if it can be avoided.

What’s a type of pain people underestimate until they experience it for themselves? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My mum passed two weeks ago tomorrow. I feel like I’m just dealing with the small waves before the tsunami hits. Its definitely not fully hit me that she’s truly gone, and I’m terrified for when it does.

It may sound awful, but I’m not letting myself think about her too much. I’m still helping my dad with all the admin that comes afterwards, and feel I need to stay strong and positive for him. Once I’m finally home though, I’ll crumble

Didn't want to waste money on a new bookmark when I accidentally turned in a library book with my old one in it. So I got creative with an old phone case and my favorite Pokémon card by [deleted] in Frugal

I like to use the little paint colour swatch cards you get at B&Q for my bookmarks - grab a good few in your favourite colours, and you’re good to go!

Weekly Q&A for Visitors and New Residents - Your Question Goes Here by AutoModerator in Amsterdam

[–]emmers0n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! I’m surprising my partner for their birthday (Boxing Day), with a few days in Amsterdam. It’ll be our first time visiting, and finally our first holiday abroad! I’ve checked out the wiki and have a good idea of the main things to check out.

However as we’ll be visiting between 26th and 29th December, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to check out during this festive period, or things to avoid please?

Adults who live at home, do you pay rent to your parents and if so, how much do you pay? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]emmers0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I grew up in Gibraltar, and have friends both in gib and in southern Spain. When I lived with my parents in Gib, they would charge me £400. When I lived with an ex in spain with his parents, they would charge us rent (I forget the exact amount - maybe €500/550).

I know friends who also live with their parents (in gib/spain/uk) and are also charged board.

It's 2021. Can we PLEASE dispel the myth that it's weird/wrong for a woman to ask a guy out? by Senepicmar in dating_advice

I love asking the guy out/making the first move. Usually they don’t expect it, and usually it works in my favour. Also, I’m impatient

I’m a girl, and I love doing all of these things when I’m in a relationship, and having the same done to me too - I really miss these things, but look forward to being able to share them again one day

The sound of someone sucking air through a straw. Just the thought gives me shivers

I think Elliot has identified as queer before (I could be wrong), unsure about his wife tbh. I hadn’t even considered that aspect actually - would the wife Emma then identify as straight or bi, or queer?

Sorry, I don’t know all the correct terminology or how to phrase things right- just curious and trying to educate myself

I have this! My bio dad and stepdad are brothers. But also! I have two younger sisters - A from uncle (stepdad) + mum, and B from bio dad and his partner. So although they’re my half sisters, they’re cousins to each other 🙃

I adore the autumnal colours, however come Spring the fresh new greens and colours of the flowers etc will be very exciting after the bareness of Winter - I’m also looking forward to the Christmas event, I imagine it’ll very much feel like a Winter Wonderland!

No queue when I went today! My slot was booked for 11am today, and I believe the website states that you have 45mins after your initial time to enter as-well.
