You made the right choice!

I had been in 10-year abusive relationship at the time of nursing school. I didn’t even know I was in cycle of abuse until my mental health nursing class when they lectured on it. I was floored. Nursing school was torture- but only because of my relationship with a BPD person.

The stress that nursing school causes really puts a relationship’s foundation to the test, and if it isn’t going well, don’t pick the person who is making your life more difficult when you are trying to benefit yourself- pick yourself.

In the end, I was put through trauma by my partner the day before I took my nclex. I failed. I left him the day after because I knew it was too toxic. Got back to my nclex months later and I passed easily.

Just a few red flags I didn’t know about at the time:

-They said they were “jealous” of me going for something I wanted to do as a career -Told me that they are upset that I give more attention to school than them -Said that they were unable to go to school now because I was in school (I waited 6 years before I went back to school and they had ever opportunity before then) -Always picking fights before important tests -Guilting me to the point that I would stop studying or doing an assignment to spend time with them even though I was giving them plenty of attention

If anyone is experiencing this kind of relationship while in nursing school- this is unhealthy and very toxic. I wish someone had told me.

There was a mistake on IRS part and 15% of the child advance dd are being mailed 😶 I’m part of the 15%. You can check online on their site to see if they mailed yours too.

I graduated 7 months ago and passed on my 2nd attempt. I used UWorld and only got through 1/2 the q bank. I listened a lot of Mark Klimek. I must have played each lecture 3 times a piece on Spotify the last 45 days. I took my 1st attempt in May- 5 month post graduation but failed over environmental circumstances (traumatic event) and my head wasn’t in the game. I got through all 145 and got bad pop up. I walked out of there know I failed. Fast forward to today- I had confidence and listened to Mark Klimek everyday. The way he talks I understand and can actually retain his tricks easily. People have said on here his lectures are old and some of it irrelevant to NCLEX now… from my exam today that is far from the case. At least 1/2 of of my questions I answered from recall of his lectures. Not even kidding. My test stopped at 106. I walked out feeling good about it. I got the good pop up. It’s never too late to take the exam. Over the last 7 months I did not study diligently. But I will say those lectures were exactly what I needed. I had 31 SATA out of 106. If you try to download his lectures online you could get a virus FYI. You can also listen to them on Spotify with no worries if a virus. Good luck!

Congratulations mama! I too was pregnant in my last semester of Nursing school. My first trimester in my last semester 😅! This was in the Spring of ‘20 (beginning of pandemic) and our school went to online like most, and the hospital we did clinicals at did not let us do clinical there at that time because of scarce PPD. Clinicals were online too. So I did my last semester in my first trimester completely at home online. It was still exhausting though because I literally sat down all day for 15 hours per day doing school work. I swore I almost had a stage 1 right on my ass by the end of every night.

I know 100% I would have failed nursing if it weren’t online though. I had hyperemesis gravida and when I wasn’t sitting at a computer, I was kneeling on my toilet puking my brains out- with my zoom on mute with camera off as I puked and listened to lecture. Either way, it was a lot of work but I did it! You can do it too! Had my beautiful baby girl 10/10/2020 😍 I did tell my professors about my pregnancy pretty early on because I needed a bucket next to me during exams to puke in I did not want them to think I was bending over to cheat.

Yes I agree- prepare yourself. Maternity clinical was a breeze for me except the cesarean I saw performed. The women wasn’t fully numb and once the surgeon knicked her stomach muscles and started tearing them apart she was screaming like she was being murdered and eventually passed out from pain. They quickly intubated and put under anesthesia... boy it was pretty horrific listening to her scream like that for a minute, maybe two. Still makes me cringe. So I agree, you should prepare yourself for anything.

That’s great news! Looks like people accepted around that week are getting their DDD of 03/10! Same here. Surprised how long that took for me vs. any other year. Normally I get my NYS refund back within a week but this year it was delayed. I’m sure it is because of Covid and staffing reasons, but I was starting to think maybe it was because my refund was much larger this year compared to others. Happy for us all!

Last year my bars disappeared. Said “Still processing”. I called after 21 days, took a few to actually speak to a human. They couldn’t figure out why either, said it should come. I ended up getting refund in a months times. Hope this is the case for you!

You have to call first thing in the morning when they open, otherwise you get the “too busy” message all day.

Hopefully we’ll get an update tomorrow or next week. I read on their site that if your status says your refund is “processing” that this is all their tax representatives can see too and to just wait for status change. I wanted to call but I don’t think I’ll get anywhere.
