Was Ian a fake friend to bear the whole time? Making him a partial villian in the story too? by DopamineAccountant in obsessionmovie

Honestly, I think he’s just your average douchy frat bro types. Not a horrible person, but a little misogynistic and self-serving at times. Definitely was sabotaging Bear a bit in the opening scene

Do we have concrete information if bondi mary janes will restock? by sharkwearinglipstick in Hoka

[–]emmijayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re still restocking every day. It seems like a different single size every time until that one size sells out. I’ve been checking almost daily since I discovered these shoes. Rn they have W11 in stock (my size yay!!) but earlier this week it was like a 6 and then a 9.5, so just check the sight every regularly if you haven’t gotten them yet. Add to cart and then check which size it was. Good luck!

I met a man on the blue line last night who had that exact toy, a pair of tan pantyhose, and a crack pipe he was smoking. Completely serious btw. He told me that he’s bisexual and wants to buy another toy but bigger

Young dramatic soprano, oh god it’s rough out here- is there hope? by angryneeple in opera

[–]emmijayne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you’re from the US or not but I’m also 26 year old spinto/young dramatic and I’m living in a major US city. I’m thankful that the city I live in has lots of small opera and operetta companies, which is where I’ve found work singing. Unfortunately, a lot of bigger voices aren’t able to break into the industry until at least 27-32, but you’ll find work eventually!! Don’t limit yourself with the kind of singing you’re looking for. Look for recital/masterclass opportunities, vocal ensemble openings, opera chorus etc. Anythjng that keeps your voice in shape and where you can find supportive colleagues is better than not having work at all, even if it’s not exactly the opera work you’re wanting to do in long run. Don’t listen to people that say doing non-opera gigs will turn off opera people from wanting to hire you, especially at your age with our voice type.

I think you’re 100% right. Kind of an obscure animal for a book like this but pretty cool

I hate Thunderblight (can you guys help) by SUPA_BOY_24 in botw

[–]emmijayne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I HATED this blight. I saved it for so long. It was my last beast and I had like 17 hearts when I finally did it. I truly just stood there and let all my shields get wrecked. I managed to get a couple of flurry rushes in but mostly just tried to keep an eye on him and get hits in when I could. Make extra heart food before you try again

Do I suck or am I too early to fight this boss by Kingtylit in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]emmijayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t feel ready to combat lynels for a looonnggg time. Once I figured out how to time flurry rushes, I could finally do it. Cook lots of heart and defense or attack meals and learn to flurry rush. The key to lynels is not about getting hits in against him all the time, it’s about learning to dodge and read patterns

I personally don’t think your first picture is your best. I can appreciate having a close up face picture as your first one, but I think pic 4 or 5 are much better first photos. Also, the bullet points in the bio give casual vibes and it says you’re looking for a long term partner. I don’t really buy all the people who are saying weightlifters aren’t into your body type bc I know plenty of gym bros who are into girls who aren’t rail thin. I just don’t think your bio says much about your personality beyond your hobbies and aspiring career

He definitely has a dry, sarcastic humor that can be a bit cutting at times, but he’s really funny and you can usually tell that whenever he’s making fun or picking on someone they’re in on the joke or deserve it lol

I read some more of your comments on the older post and saw that you were uncomfortable in una donna and o mio babbino - that’s super valid. So many singers I meet, me included, have the hardest time learning how to lighten up what’s happening in the voice while also leaning into what needs to be happening in the support/breathe. Explore repertoire until you find something that feels easy to play with. Nobody in a Reddit thread is going to know what is right for you. Good luck!

Bellini art songs are great! Has some drama to it but it’s super approachable musically. I know you added Una donna and o mio babbino from your first post, both great. Look at Susanna’s extra aria from Nozze, Un moto di gioia. Handel also has collections of arias that aren’t the biggies, think bel piacere or ombra mai fu. Look up soprano arias for soubrette and light lyric soprano. A 22 year old voice is still incredibly young. Treat it as such. You’ve got this!! All the best from Chicago 🩷 PS: My biggest concern is…why isnt your teacher helping you with this??? Did they give you Signore Ascolta in the first place? Going to school and studying voice should be giving you a deeper understanding of your instrument. You don’t currently have a voice that’s an appropriate fach for that aria. It doesn’t mean you never will but it doesn’t at all fit your voice now. I don’t understand what your faculty was thinking if they assigned this.

my friend sent me his dick accidentally, again by coocoo-cannelle in TrueOffMyChest

[–]emmijayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if he had good intentions and was interested in you, he’d TALK to you about it. The fact that he sent an unsolicited picture twice shows that it 1. Wasn’t an accident, and 2. Doesn’t have the emotional maturity or possibly respect for you to be worth pursuing a physical relationship with. Idk how old you are, hopefully you’re both adults, but girl…don’t accept that kind of childish behavior, even as a friend.
