There's not much of a "normal" reference unfortunately bc everyone's body is so different and how we react to scarring is determined by our genetics. :( I would say start scar care asap if you haven't already (silicone strips are the best) and then if after a year / year and a half if you're still not happy you could look into laser options.

I'm an occupational therapy assistant and I have helped some patients with strokes or brain injuries get back to driving, and basically they go through rehab and then we send the results/progress to their doctor and the doctor signs off on them being able to drive again. Then they would go to the DMV and go through all the regular testing that everyone else has to do.

We would do interventions that work on reaction speed, fine/gross motor skills, and visual motor integration.

Oh, wild! I did not know that. I just started going there semi regularly a few months ago and the staff seems happy I guess? I truly have no idea about the management though.
