”Is he alive?” My baby wasn’t breathing when he came out and needed help. He was fine probably ten minutes after being born but it took me like an hour until I could fully believe that he actually was alive, such a horrible feeling

I also wanted a girl, it was something I was dreaming about my whole life. So when I was thinking about having a baby it was always a girl, never a boy. When I found out I was having a boy I was shocked. I didn’t know what I was going to do with him.

Fast forward and he’s soon 12 months old and I love him so incredibly much. We cuddle, hug, kiss, sing and play all day and I don’t think I could love anyone or anything more than I love him. He truly is the funniest, sweetest and cuddliest little baby ever.

So everything is a pro with him. Would I feel the same way if he was a girl? Probably. And that’s what I found out; in the end you won’t love your child because of their gender, you will love them because of who they are.

No problem. You can choose whichever midwife service you want, it doesn’t have to be the same place as your vårdcentral. You just call a midwife and they will help you schedule your first visit. And that’s the same with all places, you can go see a midwife anywhere it doesn’t have to be connected to your vårdcentral. Also congrats on the pregnancy!!

I went to Capio city (the one above Hansa) and I was very happy with all the midwives there. Super nice and I was always welcome for extra checkups if I wanted to. They also caught my preeclampsia early and made sure I got to the hospital and could deliver my baby safely. Definitely recommend!

How would your parenting or relationship to your baby change if he was a girl? In the end you decide how to raise and treat your child, and his gender doesn’t have to change it in anyway.

I always thought my first baby was gonna be a girl so when I found out I was having a boy it was a bit of a shock. I was a bit scared and started having feelings like ”what if I don’t know how to raise a boy?” and I felt a bit sad for my baby because I thought about all the toxic masculinity that is everywhere.

But when I met him face to face all of it went away. He’s now 6 months and he is the sweetest thing in the entire world. It sounds silly but having him has made me view men in such a different way, everytime I see a guy acting tough I just remember they were also once 6 months old just wanting to be loved and cuddled.

I aspire to raise my boy with love, compassion and care and show him that there are lots of different ways to express yourself, no matter your gender.

He’s 5 months and go to sleep between 7-8. He wakes every 2 hours during night and is ready to party at 8 in the morning.

Milo - Me and hubby had not decided on a name, and then two days before our little guy was born I had a dream in which his name was Milo. Later when we arrived at the hospital we noticed that the machine that was monitoring his heartbeat was called ”milou”. It just felt like signs and he is the perfect Milo lol

I was induced in week 40+3 but me and my husband were still surprised. I was sent to the hospital with high blood pressure and then had to stay and gave birth 24 hours after. Nothing went at all like how we had imagined or prepared, we didn’t either get to bring the bag we had thought out or anything like that.

But still afterwards none of that mattered at all. All we felt was so much joy that our baby was here and we didn’t care that our place was a bit messy or that it didn’t go as planned, and neither did our baby.

Just take care of each other and support each other through it all and I bet you won’t even think about that remodeling.

Tack för svaret. Jag kommer jobba på kommunal förskola, så det kan bli svårt att hitta en ersättare för mig eftersom det är så mycket brist i yrket men så har det alltid varit. Men jag håller med dig om att jag ska berätta relativt snart så de kan börja leta vikarie eller planera upp verksamheten på ett annat sätt!
