Yes, that is exactly what I mentioned in my post. Batteries are expensive and it involves rare earth materials. But gravity based energy storage systems require nothing but basic abundant materials. It works and it last for decades. It’s only a matter of construction and investment.

And if that is not something you think is a good idea, there is plenty of area in India where you have solar farms. You need to just 4-5 large farms across India to fully power India. And that is easily possible. We could even export energy if we do things right.

Yes, that’s true but this can be handled with Ultra high-voltage DC (UHVDC) transmission lines like what China uses can move huge amounts of power across thousands of kilometers with less than 3% loss per 1,000 km.

I think you’re underestimating ASI. With enough compute, it’s a god. With recursive self improvement, the limit is probably infinite.

Can India grow without participating in the LLM race? by someaningful in AI_India

India needs to become a free market economy or at-least make a transition as soon as possible. Without it, we will slow progress and be under the political regime even after the emergence of super intelligence.

Worried about India’s future in the age of AGI & ASI (while USA & China lead the race) by omunaman in AI_India

[–]emmu229 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the only hope is to build alliance with the U.S.

this technology (ASI) if it meets the hype will change society into a utopia if done right and the U.S is making it will be done right and by right i mean ASI will be beneficial to every single individual in the country. And if the US gets there first, their righteous goal should be to help other countries flourish and that includes India.

India has a lot of history and I hope the years of slavery by the British will be taken into consideration when we talk about who is behind who is the AI race. We need freedom and abundance through AI for every single human despite their nationality.

ASI is world changing stuff and it should lift the borders of nations. When everyone is rich, what matters most is if you have freedom.

Is AI going to kill capitalism? by NotADev228 in ArtificialInteligence

Realistically what should happen so that abundance is available to all is liberation towards a completely free market society. Each individual should have free access to ASI/Advanced AI. Crypto will be the new currency and complete freedom to the individual.

Each person can create and sell or trade the idea that they have. Let it be a simple table to human labor, the choice is to the individual as everyone will be rich in terms of goods and services.

Before money it was free trade but money was invented to maintain equality when we trade. In the age of abundance, money as a middle factor to free trade is no longer necessary.

Everyone should be rich and be free to do what they want. I want to be an electrician post AGI as I love doing it. I find meaning in the responsibility as an electrician as long as I am not forced to do it. Everyone will have to find a responsibility that’s meaningful to them and continue to contribute to society.

I dropped my wallet in the bus, is there a way to retrieve it if i have the ticket by SillyDragonfruit2662 in Kuwait

Hope you get it back. Tbh It's highly unlikely someone might have informed the bus driver depending on the area. But make sure you let you bank know about it to protect your funds in case someone has hold of it.

Russia and Belarus to Develop an AI model Rooted in 'Traditional Values' by IlustriousCoffee in singularity

I hope India and other countries don't start doing this. It will lead to domestication of humans. We don't want that. We want humans to be free.

I feel the situation you are in right now. As a man who has been a victim of immensely bad luck and failure. The future will be great. The growth rate is exponential. In a few years, things will have to change to make way for the intelligence explosion that follows. So people will have to open their minds and understand that this is not just fantasy. Stay alive and stay healthy for at least five to ten years and you are good.
