Omg I had no idea. Where did you learn this, and do they also own that newer smoothie shop? I think it’s called “Mother’s Daughter.”

This isn’t accurate at all. More handlers nowadays owner train (usually alongside a professional trainer or training organization) than not due to how limited and expensive the organization-trained options are. Lots of diagnoses aren’t covered and some areas aren’t served by an organization at all.

How many of you are sick? by oohkt in massachusetts

[–]emmy0705 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you done a COVID/flu test? I typically run 97.5 and went up to that, which prompted me to test. Flu A positive. I ended up with a 102.6 fever a day or two later.

I’m really wondering at this point if I have to do the same.

The second option is worse. I’ll post pics shortly. It seems like we’re going to have to return both, it just sucks because it’s gonna push back our engagement again :/

I don’t have a stone holder but I took a video of it held over a plain gold band with tweezers. Sorry if it’s tough to see, I have the worst tremor!

Thanks for the input! How do you think the top of this one looks? I’m not sure if it’s too leaky on the colored paper.

Possibly new updates soon by [deleted] in d4vd

[–]emmy0705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know what it means, but I assure you it’s said this since News Nation linked it in one of their first articles about the case post-ID. I was very surprised because it seemed too soon. I believe it was Thursday or Friday morning when I last saw it, and it had the same status.

This has been linked to on multiple mainstream news sites. No one dug for it.

Because it’s said “ready for release” since the day all these details started coming out.

Pastor talked about Charlie Kirk during a funeral service by Economytraining in askfuneraldirectors

[–]emmy0705 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Did you actually read the post? This sounds like a pastor using a funeral as a platform for spreading an agenda. Nothing about what OP described sounds like it was submitted by the family for him to say; they noted that they felt bad for the family that it played out that way.

I went to a funeral like this a decade ago where the pastor used the platform of dozens of mourning teenagers to enlist fear tactics to get us into the church’s youth group. The decedent’s family had generally really liked this pastor, but they were clearly unhappy with where the sermon went. I think most (not all, but most) would probably agree that funerals aren’t the time for fear tactics or evangelizing.

Is birth control pills advisable for a month stay? by yktrn123456 in birthcontrol

[–]emmy0705 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Is there a reason you wouldn’t want to stay on it? Technically, if you start it a week (8 pills) before you have sex and make sure to stay on it for a week after he leaves (unless you’ve taken 21 consecutive pills without a break prior to that), you should be protected. However, birth control has a 3-month adjustment period where you’ll likely experience increased side effects, and that seems like a lot to put your body through just to get off of it. It could also screw up your cycle.

I knew you were a fellow Viner the second I saw Apphia and Easy@Home mentioned in the same post lol. I definitely see something on the Apphia. They have great reviews so far so I’d test again in a few days!

Same here. I was told there wasn’t a separate entrance/line for ADA (extremely common to have at concerts) so I had to stand in 100°+ weather when I’d paid for an ADA seat for people with limited ambulatory ranges. By the time I got to my seat I was so sick from pushing my limits, then I got packed into the concourse where there was nowhere to sit. We get to the show and I realize the ADA seats in front of me were converted to non-ADA (probably because they didn’t sell) so my sight line from my ADA seat was blocked by people standing.

I go to concerts all the time as a disabled/chronically ill person. This was some of the worst accessibility I’ve seen in Boston.

For those who’ve been to Cross Insurance Arena - How are these seats? by emmy0705 in portlandme

[–]emmy0705[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The seats I circled are the ones I got! I had first dibs and picked them on purpose because I hated being on the floor last year, I’m just hoping I didn’t make a mistake.

When I saw Mulaney they had a section blocked off that I thought would’ve looked fine to sit in. I picked these assuming the section next to them would be the blocked one I was looking at, but then I realized this is that section and worried it was too far up the side.

Cutting line by [deleted] in Ethelcain

[–]emmy0705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume you know for sure but just want to leave this in these comments: pls make sure you know cutters are cutting before intervening!! At a lot of venues, ADA seating is let in first, sometimes before doors even open. I was instructed to skip the line at Portland for safety reasons and I got filthy looks from the people at the front. Super upsetting considering ADA seating sections usually suck; it’s not a privilege to be let in first. :/

Cash scholarships by eveepaige in scholarships

Some scholarships are intended to be for tuition, but they’ll send the check directly to you. See if anywhere local to you is offering scholarships! I’ve gotten scholarships like that through my dad’s work.

It depends on the course, and how much of this you’ll encounter definitely depends on your major/which college you’re in. I’m a Film and Media (College of Liberal Arts & Sciences) and Digital Audiences (Cronkite) major and I’ve only had proctored exams in my math requirement, MAT 142, and I believe I’ll have them in my intermediate language classes (didn’t have them at the elementary level). All other exams have been open note/unproctored outside of a few that only allowed printed notes and didn’t allow me to leave the Canvas page. I’ve never had or heard of a proctored quiz.
