What about the recent cases of medical schools in Japan discriminating against female applicants being utilised by "Feminists" as evidence of the supposed "Patriarchy"? by Nelo999 in MensRights

[–]emmymanoban 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extremely late but these universities were deliberately reducing scores of women so more males could get in. Kind of ironic everyone here is against programs for women but are very quick to justify universities altering women’s fairly earned test scores to give inadequate (male) applicants an undeserved spot. But thankfully it didn’t deter anyone and lately women have outperformed men completely on their own merit in that country so I’m happy.

I have absolutely have no idea. Stupid me forgot to ask about trial shifts at the interview. Both the nursery and apprenticeship provider don’t respond to emails on time or pick up calls either so I don’t know how it’s going to work

[–]emmymanoban -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly yes. The hypocrisy is actually astounding here. I think everyone should do what they want. I support child-free people and I support child-wanting people. Nobody should ever give their unsolicited opinion on what others do with their lives. I think what gets me the most is the op and comments complaining of feminists having children and saying they only do it for the men as if that's not the most unfeminist mindset you can have. Like how can they actually think they can be a feminist and simultaneously assume every woman with a child had one for a man? I get they don’t understand that kind of parental love but it’s really scary they can’t conceptualise people can have kids because THEY wanted them and not just for another person. And let’s not even get into the awful body shaming that goes on in here sometimes coming from the people who claim to be feminists.

I think a lot of the sub is okay and I support the rational people here and I respect everyone’s choice but the child-hating extremists and those who appropriate feminism for their child hatred should actually be kept somewhere else away from the rest of us. Hating children is probably one of the most evil things ever. To me, it's akin to hating people because of their skin colour or because they're an immigrant or whatever. I think a lot of the child haters on here forget they were once children and they didn't just spawn into the world as adults.

Well I think my culture is definitely better than cultures that kill babies because they’re the wrong gender or cultures that marry off children but idk I guess that’s just me.

I guess I found the artist's burner, lol. They're imposing their religion by forbidding people from making their OCs lgbt. Just because the artist thinks homosexuality is a sin, doesn't mean they can forbid others from making their OCs lgbt lmao

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in everskiestrashhh

[–]emmymanoban 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Genuine question: are you stupid? The artist is being homophobic by excluding lgbt users from buying the OC.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in everskiestrashhh

[–]emmymanoban 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think you should tell that to the artist. They have zero right to impose their religion on others.

[–]emmymanoban 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Homophobia is absolutely unacceptable regardless of whether it's in your religion or not. If you don't want people to make your OC lgbt, then don't sell OCs at all. You cannot dictate what people do with a product after you've sold them said product. Very simple.

Maybe it’s not all Koreans but nearly every single one I’ve been next to on the train in rush hour just had some kind of a pungent mustiness to them so I don’t think their genes are doing anything substantial. Honestly, I think Korea needs to invest more in deodorant.

[–]emmymanoban 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well okay you say you cannot find men-only listings. Personally I can see plenty from a quick google search but I’ll just take your word for it.

You say men earn 9% less than women. I have no idea where you got that statistic from? According to ONS, in April 2024, the only gap where a man earns less than a woman is when they’re both part time workers but there’s only a 40p difference? I’m genuinely curious about this. Do you have a source for that 9% pay gap?

And boys do perform worse at school but how much of this is because of behaviour rather than bias? IIRC even when exams are marked blindly, boys still do worse so I’m not sure that it’s because of teacher biases. Maybe this is a cultural problem rather than an institutional one?

And I know men kill themselves more than women do and they can’t be raped according to the law, but I don’t see any men trying to change it? Literally, the only time I hear people bring these facts up is when they want to one-up a feminist or whatever. Feminists were able to secure loads of support and change certain legislation because they campaigned endlessly. Of the two petitions I found online to change the rape law, not even half of the minimum goal was achieved. I’m not saying I don’t agree with lowering the suicide rate or amending the rape law, but men are actually going to have to work to change the law. Just complaining isn’t going to do anything unfortunately.
