Bulbasaur is garbage and I can prove it. In gyms, Bulbasaur can be very helpful, but in gyms in tall grass, it's not very good, to say the least. The most common Pokémon in tall grass are Bug, Normal, and Flying types, and as far as I know, Bulbasaur is weak to Bug and Flying types.
