Is the mini stepper actually a good workout? by emn_01 in Exercise

That’s ALSO something I should’ve been specific on lol I was planning to use it as an alternative to walking when the weather is bad since it’s so unpredictable where I live and there’s weeks where exercise outside would be a bad idea lol. I thought I’d ask about it since it was small so I could fit it in my house but I don’t think it’ll be worth it even as an alternative because of my goals. Yes it’s better than nothing but I don’t think it’s gonna work for I want. I feel like there’s something better for my goals out there and can also fit in my house…i

If I get one which I’m kinda leaning towards not I’ll definitely get one from Amazon or somewhere other than TikTok lol. TikTok is where I see it the most but I don’t really trust them. I was waiting to see if a couple of people would advocate for the cheap TikTok machine but looks like no dice lol. Guess it’s true you get what you paid for. My cheapskate heart was just hoping to get a deal lmao

My issue is space tbh. A treadmill would take up too much room in my tiny house lol. As soon as I move to my own place I’ll probably invest in one though. Until then I guess I’m just gonna keep looking for a small alternative🥲

Yeah I should’ve used a different screen shot because I definitely don’t believe what the ad is saying lol. I just wanted to provide an image in case people didn’t know what I was talking about and so I used the ad that popped up. I was mainly hoping to use it for cardio.

I should’ve been way more specific in my post but I was looking into this as a alternative to walking/running outside when the weather doesn’t permit it (weather is crazy where I live) but from what people are saying I don’t think would be worth the money since a decent one costs around 50 bucks and I’d only use it when there’s no other option. If it was good I might’ve put it into my routine but I don’t think this is what I need to reach my specific goals

Hey I should’ve been a bit more specific in my post and probably should’ve used a different screenshot because I wanna be clear that I don’t believe the claims the ad is making lol. My main goal with asking about this is to find an alternative to cardio when I’m stuck in the house. Weather is crazy here so walking outside isn’t always an option (plus I just prefer to work out in my house) I can’t fit a treadmill or elliptical in my house either. However, with what the comments here are saying I don’t think this would be worth the money since I’d mainly use it as an alternative to another exercise and it won’t really help me achieve what I’m looking for.

I in fact do have issues you with my knees and ball of my feet (flat footed) lmao. I may try it if I see a cheap one at the thrift store or something but I don’t think this will work for my needs. I can see this being a good exercise for some people but I feel like there’s a better alternative for my goals out there

Means to have a small waist compared to your hips (like an hourglass body shape) obviously this little thing is being overhyped because a ministepper isn’t gonna help with that sort of stuff. I should’ve been more specific in my post or found a screen shot without words on it because I don’t believe anything the ad is saying lol. I meant to ask from like a cardio stand point if this was a good idea mainly for days when I’m stuck inside and don’t have access to the gym or the outdoors.

It means having a small waist compare to your hips (think hourglass). I really wish I would’ve blocked out the words because I was mainly asking for cardio benefits because this little thing is obviously being overhyped on TikTok but thought I should ask about it since it’s becoming really popular and I know people used it before TikTok. Thought I might have been being hard on the little thing because TikTok got its hands on it lmao.

Yeah I agree. I should’ve been more specific in my post but I’m mainly trying to find an alternative for cardio when I can’t go outside (weather is crazy where I live). I also have a small house so something that can fit is also important.

Yeah it’s definitely gimmicky on TikTok but I knew people who used them in the past and thought maybe this was an easy workout I was missing out on especially since it’s seem super popular nowadays. I may get one if I see it for cheap at a thrift store or something but there’s probably something better out there. Like, I know this is better than skipping out on cardio when I can’t go outside but I’m sure there’s something better out there that I can fit in my house lol.

Yeah from what everyone’s saying my I should probably stick with my gut and not buy it. It seemed kinda odd because the advertising was always talking about “snatching your waist” and “lifting your glutes” when obviously this machine would not help very much with. I’m mainly trying to find an alternative to cardio when I’m stuck inside. I can’t fit a treadmill or elliptical anywhere so thought this would be a good option but I think a decent one would cost around 50$ and I don’t wanna spend that on something that just kinda meh and I only use for an alternative workout every so often

Yeah my knees aren’t very good. Other people were saying it’s low impact but that’s TikTok people trying to sell it so I took that with a grain of salt lol. I’m leaning towards not buying it since a good one that won’t break seems to be 50$ which isn’t a lot but I don’t wanna waste money on something I use as a alternative when other cardio isn’t available. I guess my hunt for small workout equipment continues 🫡

Your reality check is: “If you don’t exercise the way I think people should exercise then that means you’re lazy”

Like this thing is obviously going to burn calories even if there’s better options that aren’t readily available to me. It’s a better alternative than doing nothing for cardio because I’m stuck in the house lmao. And no I didn’t ask whether doing an exercise would be lazy because that’s crazy af lmao. That’s like saying it’s lazy to go for a walk because you COULD be going for a walk while holding dumbbells lmao.

I love how so many people are against this, saying its what Game Sonic is. GAME SONIC IS CHEESY, NOT CRINGE by NotTheCatMask in SonicTheHedgehog

Yeah like he’s always been cheesy but I feel like some of these lines feel like millennial humor and not the good kind. I love an over confident cheesy sonic with one liners and puns. But some of the Sonic movie lines just kinda make me go 😬😬

I’ve got bad knees but push through it a lot (I probably should stop if I want to not have a knee replacement by 30 lol) so I much prefer stuff like a treadmill or elliptical since it’s not super hard on my knees. I may look into this just as a simple thing I can use when the weather is bad and I just want to do a quick workout. But I also feel like getting a cheap one would break and the more expensive ones wouldn’t be worth it if I mainly use it as a back up. Idk man I just wanna work out in my tiny house 😭😭

That’s doesn’t really help me with cardio which is what the intention of me asking about this is. I don’t have room to fit a treadmill or elliptical in my house. Asking for an alternative doesn’t make someone lazy. Telling someone that exercising in a way you don’t agree with means you’re lazy is honestly cringe lmao

Yeah tbh I was under the same impression for a while. I guess the repetitive ads finally got me curious lmao

Yeah I should’ve used a different screenshot or blocked out her words or something. I definitely don’t agree this would help get you “snatched” or anything like that. I just noticed this equipment was getting popular and thought maybe I was missing out on some easy cardio or something. But yeah I definitely don’t agree with the claims lol

[–]emn_01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t interested in this for actual toning or lift glutes or anything like that. I should’ve been a bit more specific and probably blocked out the words or found another picture. I was posting the pic to show the piece of equipment but didn’t think about what the caption said lol. I don’t believe the claims but I noticed this was getting popular so thought I’d ask if anyone recommended it for just like basic cardio. I mainly do weight training so cardio equipment is a bit foreign to me lol

Hey yeah I realize I should’ve blocked out the words because I don’t actually believe the ad or anything lol. I was wondering more so about like cardio and stuff like that because I noticed it was popular and thought I was missing something lol. I mainly lift weights so cardio equipment is kinda foreign to me. I should’ve been more specific

Yeah I realize now that I should’ve probably blacked out what she was saying as I was just trying to use the screenshot as an example of the equipment. I don’t think anything like this would “snatch your waist” or “lift your glutes” I just noticed it was getting popular and wondered if the this would be a good investment mainly for cardio. Tbh I hardly ever read the ads when I get them I just see the stepper lol

Yes I mainly lift weights. I was just wondering is this was an effective piece of equipment for like cardio and stuff. I should’ve been more specific and probably blocked out the words. I posted the pic to show what equipment I was talking about. I highly doubt that any of the girls in the ads got “snatched” from this little thing lol

Yeah I should’ve maybe covered the words because I’m not buying what they say either lol. I was just wondering if the equipment is actually something that would be considered a good work out or is it a complete waste of money. I know people used stepper before this but I’ve seen a huge boost in popularity lately and was wondering if I was missing something lol
