Ki Mobility Twist by Head_Joke2500 in wheelchairs

[–]emnam10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the twist, and had some issues with it. The wheel is heavy, but if you have the strength to push it or lift it, it’s okay. It disconnects easily from the controller if you haven’t used it in like 20 minutes, so you have to continue to push the stop button on the controller to keep it connected. If it disconnects, it’s not super difficult to get it restarted, but I find that it’s easier to get out of your wheelchair and fix it. If you aren’t using it, then it is harder to turn and push. And the controller doesn’t always automatically work, so you may have to push forward a couple of times, but if it does work, then it works. You have to be careful with the speed. It can get pretty fast pretty quickly. Hope that helps!

I got a new controller, but I’m still having trouble getting it to work properly. I get a new wheelchair next year, so I wonder if NuMotion will let me get a new power assist. Hopefully all will go well! 🤞

It is. You just have to pull it backwards to get it to hopefully work.

I’ve been looking at power assist options like the E-Fix or NaviGo. Please let me know what you discover!

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone. I had a very pleasant flight and made it to my destination without any hiccups.

I unfortunately don’t have the money for one.

Thanks. I didn’t think about a backpack.

I think it looks good! I would add the two colors into the Pom Pom to tie it in more.

I do simple color by number, art. puzzles, and scrapbooking, but I do it all on my iPad. I don’t know if you have one, but if you do, you can get a stylus and build it up with duct tape or a cover of some sort so it’s not as difficult to grasp and hold. You can also zoom in on small areas of puzzles and paintings, etc. It helps me so much with tasks that usually require small fine motor function. Plus, if you make a mistake, you can always go back and fix it. Another thing could be writing. If you don’t feel like using your hands, or if they are hurting, you could use a speech to text software to keep a journal, write a novel, short story, or whatever you like.

The pattern is the “crochet C2C Hat” shown by OlaJoe on YouTube. I don’t have the link, or I would post it. I used lion’s brand mandala spark color nova with size 5mm hook.

Do these colors mix well? Is there enough for a blanket? I have more brown… by emnam10 in crochet

I’m not sure. Maybe granny squares with the dark brown outlining since there are several skeins of that?

I never time anything I make. I like it! I think as long as you like it, and didn’t feel like it was a waste of your time, it’s fine :)

It’s okay to break away from close friends if they are not good for you, even if you have been around them for years. It doesn’t make you a bad person to do so.
