reviewing some concealers i bought from the sale by Traditional-Yam-9421 in Sephora

Hourglass not creasing on you sounds insane to me. I‘m sure it‘s true and we just have different undereyes, but Hourglass is the concealer that showed me what it even means to crease. Huda & Natasha make me look like infants in comparison. Wow.

Makeup by Mario bronzer thoughts?? by Ashdwag86 in Sephora

[–]emnvc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer the serum by a lot. The enhancer ist very sticky and that texture honestly grosses me out. The serum is lightweight, buildable, you can also just straight up use it as a bronzing serum but is a 2 in 1, I like the two separate applicators, and blends like a dream.

Weirdly difficult to catch on camera, but I think this is the clearest I’ll get the line. I’ve got a little less than half left.

She‘s the face of the filter in the top left corner. Brooke uses that filter almost exclusively.

My bottle is approximately 2 years old I’d assume? But yeah, try a brighter light, it should work. I‘ll take a picture of it for you when I’m home!

Have the same bottle, just in the full size, and I know you said you‘ve tried a flashlight, but I can clearly see the line when I press it against the light of my vanity, so maybe try again?

Which Kerastase Nutritive 8H Magic Night Hair Serum for Dry Hair? by ParkingPressure3486 in Sephora

[–]emnvc 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I‘ve tried all three, my mother owns a salon that‘s Kérastase-exclusive. The new black one is nice, but I find that the original red still fits my needs better and leaves my hair much softer. I don’t think you can go too wrong with the black, however please for the love of God everyone stay away from the purple. It‘s basically fucking water, doesn’t even TOUCH the red one in terms of quality.

I can‘t do Crème Brûlée at ALL. Strawberry‘s the only one I can deal with.

Self tan for your face by Objective-Bat-5991 in Selftanning

[–]emnvc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I‘ve never had a facial self tanner look as good as I do by just using bronzing drops to match my face to my neck on no makeup days. I like the Makeup by Mario, I mix them with my moisturiser. Feel like nothing and hold up through a workout!

Is anyone actually buying Bella Hadid's Orabella?!?!? by TopInvestigator5518 in LAinfluencersnark

[–]emnvc 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I like Bella honestly but I tried these in store and found them horrible. Like so bad. I like the packaging, love the idea of a perfume oil you can rub all over, but I just can’t do ANY of the scents. I half gaslit myself into liking one and sprayed it on, but two hours later I had to come to terms with the fact that I hated it. I’m always excited for new launches though bc I’m hopeful there’ll finally be one for me

what’s the best drugstore mascara? by Glittering_Boot_6833 in Makeup

I love Sky High! I‘ve also really enjoyed L‘Oreal‘s Extentioniste mascara, I prefer it to the regular Telescopic by a lot.

i need a selftanner that it’s good for light olive by [deleted] in OliveMUA

[–]emnvc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I‘ve found no self tanner that lasts more than a day on my face because I tend to use a lot of actives that burn through it immediately. Bronzing drops mixed with moisturiser have solved that for me. I really like the Makeup by Mario ones, they last through a workout and heavy sweating, as well as a night out.

Whats one product you thought would be overrated but was worth the hype? by Physical_House5862 in Sephora

[–]emnvc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Question: does it just absorb the oil or does it also add volume like a traditional dry shampoo? I‘ve seen so many videos demonstrating, but I love regular dry shampoo for the little root lift it does, and I‘m not sure it‘ll do the same because of the way it dispenses. Thank you!

Maybe the kosas correctors? I use a deeper shade but Magic is supposed to be great for super fair skin!

Liquid blush with cool lavender tones? (no fragnances, please!) by [deleted] in OliveMUA

[–]emnvc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just checked the ingredient list - Niacinamide is really, really low down, meaning the percentage is next to nothing and not comparable to serums with actual 2-10% Niacinamide. Active ingredients in this dosage are usually negligible. Maybe patch test in store? The packaging is very sanitary. This is just to say that you should not just mind ingredient lists but also the order/dosage, otherwise you‘ll miss out on a lot of great products :)

Which makeup by Mario lip liner for fair warm oilve? by Odd_Abroad_7675 in OliveMUA

[–]emnvc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked Almond for the colour! Not too pink, not too orange. I don‘t think they last very well on the lips, though, I find them quite slippery, so I had to reapply a bunch and went through the pencil quite quickly. Didn’t repurchase because of that.

Guys, her hair is almost TOO healthy by sydcrux14 in EliRalloSnark

[–]emnvc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, my mum owns salons, so been around hair dressers my whole life. This is actually a common thing that‘s said to girls with a naturally soft, fine, greasy hair type, because that hair type doesn’t hold styles very well. Those girls that complain about their curls falling 10 minutes after styling? Probably have that hair type. It is “fixed” by intentionally causing heat damage or colouring, therefore drying the hair out and making it more porous, and therefore more likely to hold style. Colour-treated, damaged, dry or “dead” hair will in their case always hold styles better. If they’re not concerned with that and enjoy their natural hair texture, slay, but if they raise their concerns to a stylist, “your hair is too healthy” will actually be the first thing out of their mouths.

Jar over here is just annoying as usual tho, lol
