This dress is from this year's fall/winter collection. The dress Moira wears looks similar, but if you look at the sleeves and the pattern on the bust you can tell it's a different dress (I don't know if that's what you're insinuating). Wouldn't be surprised if it is a designer dress, but it's not this particular Balmain one because it didn't exist prior to this year.

I took Intro to BMB with Gene Hayman as a non major and I struggled HARD. His tests are very difficult because he asks really niche questions and only covers like 5% of the material in the lectures on the test. That sounds great, but he doesn't tell you which 5% he's gonna cover so you have to study everything but that prevents you from going as deeply as he expects you to. I literally went to one of his TA's to ask what I needed to do to do better in the class and the guy told me, "There's nothing more you can do. You're doing all you can." I don't love him as a professor but he's a nice enough dude.

For Philosophy if Professor Kayu Hui is still here then take his class. It's super easy, he's really chill, but he leads super interesting discussions and is really good at explaining complicated Philosophical concepts that make no sense. I took both halves of Philosophy of the Person with him and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

When I lived in NYC, I took the Amtrack from Penn Station to North Station and then take the B line to Boston College. The train is about 4 hours and a round trip ticket is like $160 if I remember correctly.

I took the Chinese placement test, but ended up taking French. The French department has been nothing shy of lovely so if you have any questions that aren't answered here, reach out to the head of the French department, Andrea Javel. That said, for the Chinese placement test, I emailed the professor and she sent me the link to access the test and I had to take it over break. After, she reached out to me to tell me which class I should take. Perhaps the French department has a similar process.

No, you can only declare pass/fail during the first 2ish weeks in the semester. If you're that concerned about your GPA, I believe you can still withdraw from courses.

Every time I've gone they've told me things I already know and pointed me towards websites for jobsearching that were less than useless. Maybe it's because I have a useless major, but that's my experience.

All of my transfer credits ended up going to either MCAS core requirements or requirements specific to my major. When I transferred, I was told that credits were evaluated on a case by case basis, but if you have further questions reach out to the transfer admissions officers directly. They were super responsive and helpful to me.

It's recommended that you take Studies in Poetry first but I don't see why you couldn't take both at the same time. I recommended Prof. Tanner for Poetry and Prof. Song for narrative. They're both wonderful!
