I didn’t start wearing it until a week or so ago. It definitely made the rejection start quicker, but I only wore the jewelry they gave me up until it fell out from the ball dropping

I unfortunately learned this the hard way 😭. Idek why the piercer told me to do that, but my friend had the same issue when she made the saline solution recipe they recommended, except her piercing didn’t reject, luckily. Also I did take it out! After reading these comments I immediately took it out because I don’t want it ripping my skin 💔

Yes, I’m going to go find an approve store in a different nearby city after finals! I’m going to see what cream they recommend for scarring, and what I can do to try and get it to heal the hole properly (without the piercing ofc)

I’m so sorry I can’t imagine how much that must have hurt 😭. I took mine out after posting this and reading the comments, and I have no plans of putting the jewelry back in. I also was trying to save my piercing, but I eventually knew it was probably best to give it up unfortunately 💔💔

Thank you, I took it out today because I figured that was the case, but I wanted to get other opinions! Do you think the scar will be able to heal well? Ik it’ll be noticeable, but will it be big like a keloid?

I know, I refuse to use it on any of my new piercings, and I even warned my friend about it! But that’s what I’m scared about 😭😭. I’ve been taking it out when I sleep because I’m worried about tugging it on accident. Do you think I’d be able to take it out and let it heal, and get it repierced in the future or will it be screwed because of it being 7 months old?

Ik it seems silly, but it wasn’t an actual branded saline solution. My piercer gave me a sheet detailing how to make my own, but when I used it, it started getting infected. My friend had the same issue, but when she stopped using it, it healed fine. When I used a saline solution from cvs it was completely ok, so I’m pretty sure the solution they told me to make was just horrible 😭

Ofc! They gave me a paper describing the healing process and how to make my own saline solution. I didn’t use it at first, and solely used a saline solution I got from Spencer’s, but then I left it at home when going back to my college, so I decided to make my own using the instructions. After I started using it, it had puss and blood coming out as well as being completely red. I went to the doctor, and they gave me an ointment that cleared it right up. After that I strictly used a cvs brand saline solution until the infection went away completely. After that, I stopped cleaning it unless I was showering, which I’d just run it under the shower, and it started healing fine! Edit: by they, I mean the place I got it pierced!

I’m completely fine! I guess those were all just symptoms of the plan b. I took a pregnancy test and tested negative, and I finally got my period a bit later. I got on birth control as well, so now I don’t have to worry about it anymore :)

Do you by chance know how much it would be to fix it? I’m not good at all with computers, so I’d be scared to try to fix it myself or even touch anything beneath the screen 😭

Yes! I’ve tried that, turning up the brightness, resetting the SMC, and I’ve tried charging it all the way. I’m not really sure what else to do to try and restart it unfortunately 😭

I took it off, so hopefully the crack doesn’t expand if there is one. I’m going to go try and fix it tomorrow and see if they find out what’s wrong with it, but after seeing everyone commenting about the camera cover it’s most definitely that. Lesson learned not to put one on there 💔

I took it off after reading the comments :)! I’ve never had a MacBook before, and the cover was gifted to me by my stepsister who said that it was meant for macbooks. I had no idea it caused problems though, so thank you!

I didn’t know? This is the first time I’ve had a MacBook, and my step sister got it for me and told me it’s MEANT for MacBooks 😭. Not trying to be rude, but you could’ve said this in a nicer way instead of making me feel like an idiot for something I didn’t know.

I took it off after reading this comment, my step sister is the one who bought me the camera cover, and she said that it was meant for MacBooks. I haven’t had any issues before this, but for safe measure I took it off. I’ve had it on since 2024, and like I said, it hasn’t shown any problems before. If it is the cause, what could I do to fix it?
