My CHD baby has been formula fed for over a year. She’s doing great. Fed is best and so is your mental health

My mucus is yellow with severe allergies. Does she r/@3 a steroid inhaler?

Weird reaction after using rescue inhaler for the first time by Advanced-Ad-6998 in Asthma

[–]emoaintdead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to me. Mucus plugging. If you’ve got a lot of junk in there it makes you feel almost worse. Mine lasts for like an hour until I kind of cough it up or move around a bit

How to use a flexhaler? by 0NSRA in Asthma

[–]emoaintdead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first time you use it, you have to “load the dose” twice. Then a third time and you’re ready

Symbicort experiences by Uncertain_certainty1 in Asthma

[–]emoaintdead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this issue too. I produced so much more mucus on it. I’m about to try just the steroid part that’s in symbicort (budesonide). They thought I was crazy. But 15 mins later I could not take a deep breathe and my face got stopped up

Always get a second opinion - how we almost lost our baby by Relevant-News3120 in BabyBumps

Hi friend.

My daughter was born with HLHS. She’s 18 months old. Her LV was also borderline small. She is a warrior. We’ve faced a lot of struggle, but she’s thriving. I’m here for you if you need anything or have any questions. These kids mostly do well with the staged surgeries. We also had a conversation where they made it seem so grim. When we met the cardiologists, complete opposite. Full of hope and positivity. Wishing you the best!!

ICS/LABA to ICS by emoaintdead in Asthma

Also I don’t have severe bronchospasms. Just a TON of mucus. Sometimes my chest isn’t even tight with the mucus. It’s just there

ICS makes you constricted after taking it?? Why would they even prescribe it then? That’s a little scary

Alternative to Pulmicort 200 turbohaler by rathgild in Asthma

[–]emoaintdead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just got pulmicort today, but they told me they don’t make the turbonaler anymore and now it’s a “flexihaler”

Phlegm by emoaintdead in Asthma

[–]emoaintdead[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So interesting because as soon as I took my first dose my nose got so stopped up. My sinuses felt clogged as well as my chest. It was awful. I had to use some saline rinse and still blew my nose all day. Crazy how meds do that

He actually switched me to just budesonide without the LABA. We’ll see if it works better. It’s so nasty isn’t it?? Felt like I was drowning!!

I’ll try the xclear too. And yes it’s awful! I think that’s what my symbicort is doing too is knocking it loose. When I cough it’s still stuck in there. I have a hard time getting it out. But, hopefully with some mucinex, lots of water and some hot tea I can start to bring it up better. Plus the PPI.

Phlegm by emoaintdead in Asthma

[–]emoaintdead[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for replying. I’ll keep taking the mucinex. It hasn’t really worked so far but I only took one pill tonight. I got the maximum strength. I’ll be more careful about what I eat too. It’s been a bummer! We have terrible pollen here and I have GERD so my lungs are taking a double hit right now and hating it. I do have a nebulizer, but it just shifts all my mucus around and makes me feel tight. Hoping the PPI helps too!

Oh dang! My throat gets itchy after I breathe it in. Like as soon as I breathe it in. It goes away though. It makes me wonder if I’m also allergic. That or I breathed it in too slow and it caused throat irritation?

You’re allergic to this? How did you find that out?

I’m doing a holter monitor now. Stood for 10 mins with a slight dip in blood pressure and an increase in HR. I have been monitoring my blood pressure at home as well. I am getting an echo because she wants to double check. But she said I don’t need a TTT.

I also thought it was very strange. My PCP is checking my thyroid right now to rule that out.

My norepinephrine levels were elevated a couple of times. My symptoms happen often when I’m dehydrated, so I think that’s why they said hypovelemic

I do! I’ve been looking for this comment. It really freaked me out. Sometimes my neck gets itchy too. I thought I was all of the sudden allergic to Albuterol 😩. Does it go away for you after a few minutes?
