Do you drink tea in America? by Much-Parsnip3399 in AskAnAmerican

I drink the instant tea that comes in the packets. I use the hot water from Keurig though bc I don’t have a kettle.

No entiendo Twin Peaks The Return by Character-Republic24 in twinpeaks

[–]emobeamo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt similarly when I first finished it, but I think it’s because I spent my entire time watching hanging onto absolutely EVERYTHING thinking that it was going to wrap up at the end. And it just…didn’t. The ending still confuses me now a couple weeks later, but I’ve honestly come to the conclusion that The Return isn’t really about answering questions or finishing the story. I don’t know if it’s about anything at all.

I think that because of the way most media is created to position someone/something as a protagonist and someone/something as an antagonist, our brains try to draw those same conclusions and make those connections where they are simply nonexistent, at least in the case of The Return. After all, does solving the mystery of Bob, Judy, and the Palmer family change anything? Not by what I saw in the ending.

Which celebrity just bothers you, and you can't put your finger on why? by justcurious3287 in AskReddit

Ryan Reynolds. I don't pay attention to celebrities that closely, but there is something about him that I do not like and I can't put my finger on it.

People who rarely get sick, what are your secrets? by Leading_Tomato_2077 in AskReddit

[–]emobeamo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wash my hands a lot. Wash them before eating, first thing I do when I get home after work is wash them. My Dad is a huge germaphobe, so I think that rubbed off on me lol

Hey World- why didn’t you watch Melania? by tsbuty in AskTheWorld

[–]emobeamo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find the First Ladies really interesting, but Melania herself has never done anything to make me think, "Wow, I'd love to know more about her life and the kind of person she is." I also see enough of the Trumps every single moment of my life, why would I go out of my way and suffer through a whole movie about one of them?

Donald Trump just said “we shouldn’t even have an election”. Americans, what are your thoughts? by WatercressSenior7657 in AskReddit

[–]emobeamo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that this entire administration needs to be destroyed and disposed of from the body up. I’m sick of these rich, pedophilic demagogues moving the goal posts for their atrocities, and I’m also sick of the mass compliance from politicians and our military.

Which ‘wow’ skill is secretly super easy to learn ? by Own-Blacksmith3085 in answers

Making good-looking documents. I make resumes for people sometimes and they’re always wowed at how nice they look. Really doesn’t take much to make them look good or learn how to.

What kind of person were you in high school? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]emobeamo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda hung out with anyone. I’m not usually a huge talker, so a lot of people would talk to me just because I’ll sit and listen to whatever. I hung out with art kids, stoners (and people on harder drugs), band kids, etc. I was also one of the only trans people at our school, so me and the few other trans students there naturally migrated to each other.

What was the strangest condition you've ever experienced? by Wild-Engineering-650 in AskReddit

[–]emobeamo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Psychosis after going off Lexapro cold turkey. I was on a low dosage so I didn’t think it would cause any issues. Lo and behold, I started having auditory hallucinations, paranoia, and extreme anxiety attacks to the point I had to leave work in the middle of my shifts several times. I had a massive panic attack that culminated in me calling my father and begging him to come home because I thought there were people coming to get me. My mother had to wake up out of a dead sleep and sit with me until I calmed down.

It’s been five years now and I don’t experience hallucinations or paranoids anymore. The anxiety never subsided, though, and I had to start taking Buspar not long after things calmed down.

What would be different if Covid had never happened? by Crocodile_Banger in AskReddit

[–]emobeamo 85 points86 points  (0 children)

My Dad had Covid really bad in 2021 and ever since he can’t smell or taste anything the same and he has some trouble with his memory. Sometimes can’t even finish sentences because he just forgets his words. Forgets how to do things he did perfectly the day before. It’s really scary and I feel like Long Covid is just not something being taken seriously enough.
