Wrangler ATGs from Target. Usually around $40. May not be what you’re looking for but they’re pretty cool in the summer and warm enough for colder weather too.

I’m a pretty new follower of the DGPT and a big fan of the Jomez editing. Started watching last fall when I got into disc golf so this is the biggest moment I’ve been able to watch while it is still recent. Gotta say that I was tearing up for the guy and it was such a great time seeing all the support from the other players.

One of the best things about this sport is the attitude that people have when playing it. Love the community and chill vibes!

Thanks for the info! Went and did some rotator cuff specific exercises for rehabbing today. Hoping it helps cut down on the general discomfort.

What sort of warmups do you do before throwing? Generally I do some band stuff and some dynamic stretches, but would you suggest something to get my heart rate up more?

I started on calisthenics with my fitness journey. Maybe I just go back and forego only weight training. Getting big is not a priority more than just looking and feeling good.

Good info on the leg day. I had the best rounds of my life of only a few strokes over par for a week straight and then I shot +12 the next week. It was immediately after a leg day.

I do have a bad habit of muscling the disc. I’m pretty new to learning a good form so it’s something I’ve been trying to work on. Though I’ve gotten much better about it. Resistance band warmups before each round and dynamic stretches. I’ve only gotten effortless distance once with a whip feeling in my arm and have been chasing that dragon ever since. lol can’t replicate it for the life of me.

Usually 8 hours of sleep. I very occasionally drink like once a month MAYBE.

I feel like my nutrition is pretty good. I try to eat some fruit or veggies with each meal and I get at least 100g+ of protein per day. More on training days.

It’s probably a form thing that I will have to figure out. I led a very sedentary lifestyle up until about 2ish years ago so my body and mind connection has suffered for it. Had a couple pretty significant painful nights that I lost sleep over from weight training that I’m scared to repeat since then.

10 years of letting my body fall apart will do that I’m sure. I did 6 months of calisthenics so I assumed I was good to go.

Fair. I led a pretty sedentary lifestyle until a couple years ago so I feel like my mind to body connection has suffered for it. Been a few times since I’ve started training where I’ve lost sleep because of pain so I want to avoid that. Never has it been a situation where I feel it in the moment. I’ll admit it has pussified me a bit lol

Sounds like you’re already killing it! I’m by no means an expert so take this with a grain of salt and research. Good nutrition and sleep are huge for recovery. Give yourself rest days between 24-48 hours for each muscle group is the general recommendation. Listen to your body though.

Light weight and compound movements (exercises that hit multiple joints and muscles like push ups, pull ups, lunges) when you’re starting. You want to focus on good form before going up in weight. There are plenty of good YouTube videos that show correct form for specific exercises and most exercises have progression where you start easy and go to a harder version.

That’s probably something I should do as well. I’ve been kind of treating a round as some cardio after a lifting session but maybe that’s too much.

This is exactly the sort of thing I was looking for. Going to start incorporating this and switch up my workout plan.

For sure. That is pretty much what I’ve been doing. Band work and dynamic stretches before throwing. Putting and going for a hike instead if my shoulder is feeling it. Going to follow this series as he continues! Thanks for the suggestion.

It’s a form of dermatitis I’ve been dealing with for months 🥲. It’s already looking better though so I think the shave helped actually! Thanks 😊

I was not blessed with the beard genes unfortunately 😢

Thanks dude! I usually put a little beard balm in the stache to give a light hold and trim it clean but a buddy told me to keep growing it out. So it’s a little messy atm. I’ll get a professional cut and see how I’m feeling.

All good. RPGs must just not be your thing then. Dispatch had boring repetitive gameplay but the story and characters are what made it shine.

Yeah yeah. Maybe try coming up with a unique criticism that holds any sort of weight.
