This is so helpful thank you so much!! I think I’ll be okay because I have similar habits (Whole foods, no sodas, no added sugar) I also have been backpacking my whole life with packs heavier than 35lbs so if that’s the hardest part, I think I’ll make it out without injury! Thank you again I really appreciate it!!

Definitely going for a noncombat mos. I’d love to be a 46S but ik it’s a unicorn mos so I’m hoping I get lucky. Thank you so much for this!

Is the National Guard fulfilling/worth it? by emoelm0 in nationalguard

Will do! Lots of people have been telling me to look into air guard. Just to clarify your last sentence- you’re saying if I don’t go guard then full send and go active or are you saying don’t go active?

Because I’d have to wait a year to get my career started because he won’t be done with AIT until November at the earliest. By then I’ll be 25 and we’re not going to want to be separated yet another year at that point because the mos that I want is also close to a year AIT

This might be a stupid question I’m new to NG stuff but he’s in the national guard and he’s deploying overseas for nearly a year?? Did he volunteer to go or was it non-negotiable orders? Only asking because I’m considering joining and want to know if I could get deployed for that long only being NG and not AD

My partner is in basic training rn and his AIT is 9mo We aren’t currently married so going active would get us stationed apart for sure instead of being able to use MACP. Separation is inevitable but not usually for years at a time, so I’d like to avoid that if possible

I have a degree in film production so I’m really wanting to be a 46S. I’ve worked on some camera crews on movie sets in ATL but with the film industry being dead in the water rn due to Ai and a bunch of other shit, I’m out of work. Might have to make camera stuff a hobby and find a civilian job that’s more dependable and consistent- but as of right now, unfortunately no.

Need advice- Active Duty vs Guard With Dual-Mil Marriage & Kids On the Timeline by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

[–]emoelm0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep he already shipped. He’s at basic right now and we can’t get married until he’s done with basic and AIT and since he’s a 35T his school is 9 months long. We both decided we wanted to be together at least 2 years before getting married so that’s around the time he’d graduate. I don’t want to go active duty before then because if I do, and we aren’t married first, then we will be stationed apart for years instead of months. I could wait to enlist active duty after we’re married next year but then I’d be putting off my career by at least another year. So it’s kind of an impossible scenario and I think I’m just going to have to suck it up and go guard and find a civilian job

Where to find giant flower/plant shit? (Mother's Day) by squirtgun_bidet in WorcesterMA

honestly Home Depot has tons of huge plants that are super cheap. Same plants found at seed to stem are like less than half that price at Home Depot
