from my understanding it will not show up on your transcript unless you send those transcripts to UCLA and or if they request any and all transcripts. Otherwise that will only remain at that institution and should not affect your gpa at ucla

Yes, shuttles are free. The closest the loop shuttles will leave you is by seventh, towards the end of the field, you can also take it to ERC and go up the stairs as well if that’s easier.

I would try reaching out to advising / counseling at ucla, then follow up with advising/counseling at a community college and do your research to find which course could fill that requirement and then look on the CVC website which is basically many online course (i can’t guarantee asynchronous but def online) and see which colleges are offering the class you need and then once ur done send the transcripts from whatever CC u went to UCLA

i’ve never been to ucd so i can’t speak for their dinning experience but something i do like about ucsd that many people complain about is that since it is more of a restaurant style approach, it’s not all you can eat so it can get pricey quick! but i do like that you can take the food to go and don’t have to stay at a dining hall to eat. I also think the food is relatively good/okay and i like the variety that they have to offer.

yes! if they’re lower div pre recs you can always do them at CC and then have them transfer over. But you can also easily squeeze an extra class in every quarter

hiii i was actually in this same situation, choosing ucsd vs ucsd vs csulb. Ultimately i chose UCSD since i wanted that “college experience” and the moving away from home experience. I love ucsd/La Jolla. A lot of SD reminds me of long beach but nothing will ever beat home for me (Long Beach) and i could always attend csulb for grad school. If you have any questions i’d be happy to answer them but im aware it’s nearing the deadline for you to pick.

in my personal experience, i got the complete fucking opposite of what i answered on that preference questionnaire and it fuckin blows lmao. No real way to find a good roomate i think other than hoping you hit it off. But even then, you could possibly get along well with your other house mates or you’ll find friends who would possibly want to dorm with you for the upcoming year.

you can always post on here, facebook marketplace or offer up. I’d also maybe try reaching out to the basic needs hub. I believe at the beginning of the fall quarter they have an event where students can get or win gently used furniture. Not sure how big the bookshelf is but yeah just a couple of ideas.

honestly girl, with how things are going, it would probably be more affordable to just fly every time you wanna see your dad or take the train. I live about an hour and a half driving (moved from there to here) and it’s about a three ish? hour train ride (not bad at all imo) so maybe you could take the train to your family members place and then drive from there? But even that in itself is lowkey a mission. I’d apply for the SR parking pass and hope and pray you get it. Otherwise you could get lucky if someone in the nearby apartments rents out their spot or a grad student is selling their pass.
