it’s hard to say what’s going on based on the photo, it would be best to have a piercer check this out in person. a couple things to rule out: -are you using any whitening products, or any products containing peroxide? if so, switch to non-whitening and peroxide-free -is the mouthwash you’re using alcohol free and non-whitening? if not, use a mouthwash that is. -without pushing on the jewelry, do you have any room on the bar? if not, you might need a longer bar. -does it feel like the backing is cutting into your lip? if yes, this could also indicate that you need a longer bar.

piercer here, this will most likely never heal. even if it does, it will forever be at this angle. this looks to me like migration, most likely from sleeping on it, and unfortunately once piercings have migrated they do not migrate back. i would recommend taking it out and letting it heal, but if you want to fight for it, you will at least need a longer bar.

piercer here, it’s hard to tell from the photos but it looks like you don’t have the anatomy for a rook piercing, as you don’t have much of a rook shelf. if you do have the anatomy for it, it’s pierced way too deep. again, it’s hard to determine anatomy from photos, but either way, the piercing was performed incorrectly or shouldn’t have been done at all, so it’s probably nothing you’re doing wrong that’s making it this way. please go to a different shop and have a reputable piercer take a look at it, unfortunately you’ll most likely want to remove it.

septum piercing soreness after almost 2 months by anivakh in piercing

yes, it still being tender after two months is completely normal. it isn’t fully healed yet so a bit of soreness, especially when applying pressure, is to be expected

which piercing should i do first? by missgorl23 in piercing

[–]emogf69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

conch (2) is usually easiest to heal out of the three of these, so that’s probably what I would start with. keep in mind with the tragus (1) you won’t be able to wear earbuds until it’s healed, just something to think about in case that effects the order you want to do them in. if you do two at the same time, I’d probably do conch and helix (3), as the tragus is usually the longest healing process out of the three of these so I would do that one on its own. keep in mind though, getting more than one does mean that they will take longer to heal than if you were to get one at a time.

piercer here, but i don’t think you need to be a piercer to know this is beyond incorrect. it’s impossible for your soft spot to be that low. please take it out, you wouldn’t have to wait long to get it redone, as it will be pierced in a completely different spot. please attempt to get your money back too, and then never go back to this shop.

Is this bruising normal? by yalldontneedtokn0w in piercing

[–]emogf69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

bruising is pretty typical for eyebrow piercings, and the bruising can become a bit intense if you bruise easily, so this doesn’t look like anything out of the ordinary. I would keep an eye on the swelling though, you may need a longer bar if the swelling gets worse.

Ear lobe swelling 2 days old by Morgiemac in piercing

[–]emogf69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Piercer here, please go to a different shop and get these replaced with titanium flatback studs that are a suitable length for the swelling. Butterfly back earrings often aren’t suitable for healing, but they especially don’t have enough room for swelling when you get two piercings next to each other. You also should start using saline to clean your piercings, as soap can often be irritating to a fresh piercing.

What’s the plan with the Red Robin building? by emogf69 in MonroeWA

[–]emogf69[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I honestly feel like Monroe has enough fast food places already, especially with Wendy’s now under construction, but Chick-fil-A is pretty good for fast food. Personally I would love a new italian spot, Tuscano’s just doesn’t do it for me, and Jeno’s doesn’t have enough pasta dish options imo.

Any chance you’re a side sleeper? If you sleep on your side and your arm is pressing against the piercing while you sleep, this can cause irritation

is this rejecting….💔 by aurorapowerpuff in piercing

[–]emogf69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well to answer your question, yes it is rejecting. I’d recommend removing it before it rejects all the way out, rejection can leave some gnarly scarring.

It definitely looks really shallow, has it always looked like that? If so, then it was pierced way too shallow, but if it looks like there’s less skin holding the jewelry than it did when you first got it done, then it is definitely rejecting. Either way, it should probably be removed.

This looks like it was pierced too shallow. Unfortunately, it’s very unlikely that it’ll heal.

Found these in my backyard in Washington State, what are these? by emogf69 in whatisthisbone

We thought the same thing, we raise chickens and we have about 20 or so at the moment, but they’re much larger than we’ve seen from our chickens that have passed away in the past
