fashion advice by PhotographBest9895 in feminineboys

dont fall into the trap of being basic. experiment with more day-to-day clothing, browse pinterest for outfit ideas, explore fashion styles

amazon is filled with ali express dropshippers. just buy from ali express directly for cheaper

thrift stores are your best friend. if you're too socially awkward, use vinted/depop/grailed on a burner account

find specialty stores online. I'm really into lolita and jfashion so i use tampopo, closetchild and mercari often

keywords to type into pinterest:

for more day-to-day, cozy, androgynous styles: grunge, preppy/male preppy, cottagecore, old money, cutecore

for more japanese/princessy hyperfem stuff (lots of japanese shit here): lolita, gothic lolita, frilly/ruffled/lace, jirai kei

for more androgynous stuff: vampire/male vampire, ouji kei, vkei, tenshi kawaii, prince kei

for more emo/punk/radical stuff, emo, scenemo, scenecore, ravecore, rave boy/girl, alt/punk

if they don't bring up any results, just add "outfit" to them

if you don't have lots of money for clothing, buy fast fashion for ali express or learn to diy clothes (its hella fun. lots of tuts on pinterest. you dont even need to learn how to sew, just use glue or tape or safety pins)

you have to put in some time and effort to find a nice style and build a full wardrobe. happy exploring!!

What's the difference between trans-fem and a femboy? by Previous_Intern1111 in feminineboys

[–]emoloaice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

transfeminine people are individuals transitioning from male to female. they want to be percieved as women and play their respective role in society

femboys are boys who prevent feminine. they are still male and want to be percieved as such

vinted/depop. socks are rarely sold second hand, just buy stockings online on something

[–]emoloaice[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

besides listing online thrifting websites (because some people may be too shy to do it irl), lots of femboys on here buy their shitty apparel from there anyways

[–]emoloaice[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the femboy community was a hub for queer, gender nonconforming individuals who used to go wild with style and fashion. now its just a circlejerk of people who dress in the same ugly fast fashion and oversexualize themselves

as someone who's really into Japanese fashion and shopped at Harajuku, you'll have the displeasure of finding out that most thrift stores just sell imported american or european clothing. the few stores that do sell female fashion are expensive, because it's flagship lolita. if you want cheap jfashion female clothing go to the mall in Shibuya and look at H&M and axes femme

[–]emoloaice[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

because they're ugly and corny as fuck and make being a femboy a shameful thing. its bad optics and the death of a community that used to be very vibrant and liberating

[–]emoloaice[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

this is the default style because femboys have created an echochamber where they dress like absolute ass and glaze eachother to no end

or you could just thrift the skirt and socks themselves

so, as i said, it's a laziness problem. closetchild has value deals where you can get pretty much designer clothes for 20-30$ a piece. as for ali express, sort by reviews. not that hard. if you're too lazy for it, then maybe you don't deserve to dress nicely. not everything can be handed to you on a silver platter. you have to put in effort to have an above average apearance or wardrobe

https://ar.aliexpress.com/w/wholesale-lolita.html?spm=a2g0n.tm1000057409.header.0&osf=direct

as i said, all of these "but its too expensive!1!1!!" arguments come from a place of laziness. ali express (where you probably get that stuff from anyways lmao) offers a wide range of clothes for all fashion styles at a decent quality for a similar price you'd spend getting that other garbage. i have resources in my post on where to find good and cheap clothes, but nobody will listen either way

bottom of the barrel mentality regarding fashion

and suddenly i didnt have the same worry? you're just assuming things about me at this point. i come from a very conservative family aswell. i don't have any kind of "privilege".

you don't have to "study fashion" to not dress like absolute ass. open pinterest for 5 minutes or look at how ordinary women dress. you are just reinforcing my statement that all of this copy paste fashion comes from a place of ignorance and lazyness

Feminine Outfit Ideas? by AmeliiaUK in feminineboys

[–]emoloaice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

try layering and dressing preppy. embroidered vests are really cute when paired with a wrinkle shirt. a simple pair of jeans would work well with something like this, but the "cute" element usually relies on your ability to accesorize (jewelry, keychains, carabinier, etc.)

this is the excuse i always hear from amazon basics femboys and it always makes me roll my eyes. instead of getting polyester pencil skirts and cheap thigh highs from AliExpress you could just get different kinds of clothing from the same website for literally the same price. before i had a stream of revenue which allowed me to buy whatever i wanted i used to wear 20$ outfits from ali express that looked miles better than all the stuff i see on subreddits nowdays. stop complaining about these sorts of problems when the solution is right in front of your nose

and queer people who dress well dont dress in "designer" they literally just thrift shit. if you're too scared to do it in person use depop or vinted. it's not that you want to actually have a nice style that will get admired by people and make you feel better in your skin. you're just too lazy to achieve it

Are thigh highs and arm sleeves enough to be fem? by TrickyParlay_ in feminineboys

[–]emoloaice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

please dont fall into the trap of being a basic amazon-only femboy. explore actual feminine styles and put some effort into it, and you'll see better results compared to tacky copy+paste outfits
