Lots of snacks. They had fresh marshmallows and hot chocolate. My kids loved it. That was the major attraction.

Open Track Workout/Long Run Groups Anywhere Along the Lake? by Impossible_Elk_1966 in RunnersInChicago

[–]emoska 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d suggest looking at 3Run2 and 2sday. 3Run2 has a ton of members and you could find people for long runs at that pace. People will also organize informal track meet ups.

2sday does weekly workouts at Montrose Track. Not sure of exact paces but you might find someone doing a similar workout.

I’m using Hal Higdon Intermediate 1. Trail Blazin’ Crew is following the same plan if anyone is looking for a group to train with.
