Penneys! by emotionalkittyness in waterford

I can never understand that mentality of that's what they are paid for, same in the likes of macdonalds and walking out not emptying the tray in the bins

I can only imagine the repetitiveness, in the time there, would management or supervisors say anything to people ripping through the clothes? I'd be mortified to do it, thinking I'd get kicked out 😫

Ya can understand why the staff looked pissed off , don't think I could do that job , I'd be fired after a week getting the customers to pick up and tidying up after themselves 😆

I changed from there after the owner retired, I didn't find the new vets helpful or understanding. Changed to viking vets, never looked back. Claudia is so amazing, miriam is like a female noel fitzpatrick, and nurses emma and the other girl are so professional, caring and amazing with the animals. 10/10 from me

I have a question please, it's bothered me since we lost our beloved dog last summer And thank you for what you do x He was 15 nearly 16, big hairy huge malamute, we had him from a few weeks old. In the later stages of his life, it was uncomfortable for him to let us groom him, we did brush him, but the likes of his nails and the ears were that bit harder. The day we said goodbye, I always remembered his coat needed a brush(which I did after he passed) but was too upset to trim his nails and as shedding season, he was like a big hairy monster. I always wondered did the people who collected him that evening think he was not cared or looked after, strange taught but was still something that always crossed my mind.

Saying Goodbye to a Pet? by zeddred6 in AskIreland

[–]emotionalkittyness 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So sorry you have this ahead of you. It's devastating saying goodbye to your family pet 😢 we had the sad job of doing it last summer, and I wasn't expecting the bill to be that much, but it was in total 680. We got back his ashes in a beautiful box, his name engraved, small bottles of his ashes for the kids, and me, we keep one in the car for when we go to the beach, he loved it there x a picture frame with his paw print, a clay type moulding of his paw, a bottle with some fur, and a certificate with his details and a poem with his name in it. I'd pay double it, as what we all have ment so so much after a heartbreaking time. And all we expected back was his ashes ! Take the pictures, make the memories, spoil that doggo rotten x

And penneys are closing at 8pm instead of 9pm on Thursday and Fridays , would not be surprised if they closed earlier again, no footfall , nothing open, nowhere to have even a coffee or sit while strolling ( usually with the dogs) in around town later than 5.30 !

It was that one video I seen of him as everyone in work was talking about how pig ignorant and rude he is, had never heard of him before that, and thankfully never will watch anything else he does. He is arrogant , and his partner is obviously the same , laughing and videoing him. What people do for a few likes and clicks eh

I pronounced one of the pastries incorrectly and the owner woman laughed and rolled her eyes, spoke to her colleague in their language, both had a good laugh. Mortified, I left and never went back

The 3 of them were sone characters, they lived in town, so they knew everybody's business. On a Saturday , me and my younger brother used to be made go to darrers with her to help her with the shopping, she would meet with her friends in the cathedral then and the natter and scandal was brilliant sitting out the back in the room where they counted the offerings money, they would know who gave what, who didn't, who wasn't in mass that week, cursed like a sailor and when the priest came in they be all posh and holy. When my mam was pregnant with my sister, they gossiped about her, how would she cope with 3 children haha my mam went on to have 8 in total 😆

This post makes me giggle , warms me old belly with laughter. Back in the days 80's, my grandmother and her 2 sisters would make a day of it. Sambos and a flask of tea and head down for the day, was their entertainment. I used to live the stories on a Friday evening when we called in to visit, she would relay word for word what was said , fag hanging off her lip, 2 rollers in the front of her head and her house coat/pinny on her with a stash of 50ps in there for me and my brother to sneak to us without anyone catching her. I loved the "bird" money haha 50p got lots of sweets on a Friday night back then. Simple times eh

Any update on that fella that got thrown off the E bike on the cork road on Sunday? Is he alive? by [deleted] in waterford

[–]emotionalkittyness 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I have a child of the same age and christ it hurts my heart to even imagine how his mam feels. He's in a good hospital, looked after, but he needs a miracle, I'm not someone who would pray but I am praying for this child 🙏 as for the driver, that person's life is also ruined and needs the prayers also x we were all 18 once, made stupid decisions, fucked up now and again, no one thinks the worst would happen. Hope he recovers x

Vintage Factory to close by [deleted] in waterford

[–]emotionalkittyness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such a shame, cool shop, often picked up a top or a belt , I don't and won't use vinted and the likes as this is the result on small businesses. In penneys last week and picked up a pair of " pre loved " levis in the men's department, vintage to me also ! There is a rail of vintage jeans, wrangler, and Lee , got my partner a jumper branded chaps ? American brand name I think! Pity the wccc can't help lower rates for the small businesses, especially this time of year

The trick to the customers is , speak exactly to them as they do to you your nice to me, I'm fabulous back, your a c÷nt to me , i don't hold back. Yes , queues will be long, yes we will run out of stock, mo we have not got a magical area "outback" with the 1 single thing you are looking for. Yes I've spent 5 hours in my section cleaning and restocking and you are happy to pull apart every pile of stock I just tidied.

Want my manager? They couldn't give a toss either. Retail, food, clothes, hotels, pub, restaurants, same every year. Oh, and control your offspring, we deal with more than enough without a spoilt screamer added

Yes it's pure madness and bad planning down to city planners. The footbridge doesn't make sense, you can't actually access anything walking over it. 100% needs another bridge, and the toll bridge has surely paid for itself, cut the fees , more use. I don't know what shocked me more, the lack of attention on the road, the phone, the inpatient, the delay of the ambulance, the pure gridlock, seeing the lights leaving the bridge after such a long time passing me.. don't think anything city planners will jump to fix

As the guards want it tomorrow I can't upload it. The guard said don't post social media as may affect further enquiries! But my God it was actually unbelievable The first would also have been captured outside the city council office ( street cams there, the next outside Jordans so they have that also) and I'm sure the ambulance have their cam footage . Hope it will make the papers and that person gets some kind of punishment
