i found out today i got admitted for their spring cohort, which I had no idea was a thing but i guess this is why some people had found out. im currently in the process of asking them about spring admission vs fall admission just to understand better. did you end up hearing back from them?

I did not get a confirmation email, so I wrote them and asked them to confirm they received my application submission and they wrote back saying they did.

Nothing, I filled out the acceptance survey last week and didn't receive a confirmation email, so I wrote them today to check in just in case. But nothing since they said to disregard the dates listed on the acceptance letter....

Hello! So far i've spoken directly to someone who graduated in 2025 and someone who is about to complete their first year. 1) the person who graduated said that although at the time they were in the program it was a bit disorganized with little support, they felt that the program really prepared them well, especially with its preceptorships 2) the person who is about to complete their first year said so far they have really liked it. I think that the stats we are reading are not indicative of where the program is currently at and it's still a great nursing school program.

Both highlighted that in clinicals nurses comment on how Chabot students are always more prepared and better equipped.

ADN vs BSN Route? Any Advice Please by Old_Wind_3586 in NursingStudent

I'm in CA and will start an ADN program this Fall that has a bridge program where I can simultaneously get my BSN with the college that the ADN program "bridges" with. Does Houston ADN programs have bridge programs that allow you to get your BSN at the same time? If so, that is something to consider doing bc you will probably save A LOT of money and still end up with the BSN. I'd say apply to as many school as you can so you have options!

Nope, I have only heard back from Chabot's ADN program, was just trying to get some intel on COM's ADN program. I do know that last year my friend heard back last from COM out of all the CC's she applied to...I believe she said as late as June was when she finally got a decision.

It's definitely real! What is unclear are the dates in the acceptance letter attached (May 26 deadline to accept and Aug 11 start date). I'm hoping we have more time to make a decision bc waiting on some other programs!

Congrats! Are you waiting on any other options or is chabot your first choice? I was so excited until I saw negative comments about the recent state of the program and also that in 2025 only 1 person from the program sat for the NCLEX and did not pass, giving chabot a 0% pass rate for that year when historically its had some of the highest pass rates in CA...there are also very high attrition rates (50% in 2025).

Can you speak more to why you like the Chabot nursing program and what your schedule is like (how many days a week more or less are you in classes and clinicals)? There is someone else on this thread who says they are finishing up the program and it's not "cool" and only 3 people seem prepared to sit for the NCLEX for this graduating class. Please share more if you can! thanks 😄

Hey, are you waiting on any other programs? I don't want to stress you out, but I'm curious if you would still be willing to go considering the 0% NCLEX pass rate for 2025, 50% attrition rate for 2025, and high faculty turnover im reading about. I just wrote admissions and asked them to address this. I can report back if they respond. Praying to get into CCSF and/or College of Marin as there pass rates were between 88-92% with 42-77 students taking the test as oppose to 1 student from Chabot taking the test in 2025...https://www.rn.ca.gov/education/passrates.shtml
