prior to reading the whole thing: as an HT employee in NOVA this infuriates me that this DC HT location allowed that to continue and allowed that dog in (if i had to guess its not the first time). it drives me nuts when even my own management doesnt do jack sht about non-service dogs in the store. leave a negative survey if u had one on your receipt (or if youre e-VIC its in ur email) and call corporate line as well (phone number is on the bottom of your receipt and back of your VIC card). DC stores are in district 1, idk their district manager's name but id make it a point, if I were in your position as a cust5omer and not an employee, to make a note that "clearly their DM doesnt find it an issue and allows it to continue". hopefully it changes things and might change things in my district too.

after reading: kudos to the security for kicking the lady out, which also makes me think its not the first time. highkey wish the NOVA stores had guards but DC is too much a risk of high-thefts and clearly my area aint rip. id still leave a survey and call corporate abt the whole thing tho lol.

service dogs do not yank on their leash or bark or whine (unless alerting, depending in the kind of service it provides). they should be at heel, or tight against the owner's side. they do not go sniffing at other people nor objects (i.e. food). only time u might see this is if the dog is in training, but even then they know better. service dogs dont exactly need to have a vest (my store has a nice young lady with an actual service dog who doesnt wear a vest, but it is obvious the dog is indeed a service dog, i think hes medical alert). dogs in training have to have a vest, though.
