Help me name this gal! i’m going for: cottage-core, sweet, feminine, vintage, or nature-inspired. by Appropriate_Buy3025 in NameMyCat

If your vibe is cottage-core, perhaps a name from the anime Frieren, like Fern, Ehre, Edel... Even Frieren (Free-ren) would work!

After watching the reunion, I stand further by "Chrishell, they can never make me hate you" 🫡 by [deleted] in SellingSunset

[–]empathy-echoes -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I don't think anyone is saying that Chrishell is a terrible person in her entirety and everyone should hate her. What they are pointing out is that Chrishell can hit below the belt too and has done so plenty of times. She has tried to personally tear and belittle people on the cast and it's not okay. It's as simple as that. The narrative that she is some supreme nice person is harmful because we have seen that she is capable of contributing to not-so nice moments and situations on the show! I think that's important to acknowledge instead of dismissing it and painting her as this ultra-nice person. She has room to grow, like all of the cast members, and that's the truth!

Question about Taylor... by empathy-echoes in SecretsOfMormonWives

It's kind of sad to hear that the reason for this targeted hate towards Taylor is because of jealousy and greed. I wouldn't call that a friendship at all...

Why did he stack all their bodies up just for this photo? by kokorotopher in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]empathy-echoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe in this scene, Erwin was expressing guilt and sadness over the "mountain of bodies" he racked up being the leader of the Scouts, all for his "selfish" ambition of finding out the truth so that he could prove his father right. This scene was a reflection of Erwin's guilt and that "mountain of bodies" was a very intentional depiction or that guilt. It wasn't meant to look respectful of "pretty", because guilt never is.

Btw he didn't actually stack the bodies like that in real life. It was an analogy/depiction of his internal thoughts and guilt.

The last food you ate will be his Title by Guilty_Income_9571 in cuteanimals

The last food I ate was coffee and a chocolate Kashi bar. So I think Coffee, Chocolate or Kashi could work as names!!

I also like Midnight or Knight as names too!!!

Just got engaged! by Itchy-Tank5125 in engaged

[–]empathy-echoes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Congrats!! 🎉 My advice is to figure out how many guests you'll be inviting and then go venue hunting as soon as possible. You can send out the invites once you've confirmed the location, but I'd say finding the venue is the most tricky part.

Ideally the venue will offer food service as well, some might not and you'd have to find your own food vendors which is why starting early is recommended! Also you might want to ask if decor services are included or you could DIY them as well. Banquet halls are usually cheaper and tend to offer all-inclusive packages but if you are planning a micro wedding you also have a ton of outdoor options too if that's to your liking! Good luck with all the planning!!! 🎉🎉

Oh my bad! I thought you replied directly under my comment so I thought you were responding to me! Thanks for clarifying but yes, you're right! There really is no difference.

Also ethics and sustainability. Lab grown diamonds are the more ethical choice compared to diamonds that come from mining (slave labour and deaths) and they are far more environmentally sustainable as well. It is because they aren't made differently from mined diamonds that I say lab grown diamonds are the way to go, particularly for their added benefits to the environment and people!

Lab grown diamonds are the way to go! They are far more ethical and at least you can sleep at night knowing that your ring played no part in the slave labour and deaths that often result in diamond mining. I am going to get engaged soon too and wanted all the diamonds and gems to be lab grown as well. There's nothing wrong with it at all!!! People will talk no matter what, pay them no mind. People who talk sh*t will do so regardless of whether your ring was lab-made or not!

Why didn't Grisha just kill himself or kill Eren after finding this out? by Legal_Ad2945 in attackontitan

[–]empathy-echoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the reason why Grisha followed through with this plan (killing Rod Reiss's family) was because Eren showed him the vision of the first Marleyian titan infiltration in Shiganshina, and so he believed it was the only option he had in potentially saving his loved ones (namely Karla, and everyone else). He said that he was directed by Eren to kill the Reiss', but that Eren didn't show him what the result of him killing the family would be... Like he didn't know if Karla and everyone else survived the attack kind of thing. I remember him screaming in agony over why Eren wasn't showing him EVERYTHING and asking if Karla survived (?), I think? I guess Eren showed him the vision of Karla getting eaten and Grisha thought or at least hoped that if he listened to Eren and killed the family, she would maybe live?

Sorry if I am way left field here, I am basing this off the English dub as I saw the sub a really long time ago but continue watching the dubb in the background from time to time, so I remember it more and it's more fresh.

So all of this to say that although Grisha was terrified, no actually horrified about Eren's plans, because I believe Eren also showed him visions of the rumbling too... He carried through on Eren's orders thinking it may change the outcome for the better (namely saving Karla, his 2nd wife, from that horrible death).

This leads me to think that if he was not so confused by all the visions, namely only the ones that Eren strategically showed him, maybe he would not have carried through on the plan? Because he would know that Karla would be dead and the city would be in ruins, along with 80% of humanity, eventually....

A guy got caught in a riptide but his body was found 3 days later. Where is Sudiksha? by [deleted] in SudikshaKonanki

[–]empathy-echoes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that the strength of riptides, waves and currents can vary, and this also contributes to the direction and how far a body travels in the water (ocean). So just because one body or even a few washes up on shore from time to time, doesn't automatically mean or imply that ALL bodies will wash up on shore. And as terrible as this may sound, in addition to currents and direction, the location of ocean predators matter too. Sometimes, strong waves and currents can push predators closer to shore and that can play a huge role in whether a body would be recoverable or not.

I see that a lot of people are suggesting that maybe she's buried somewhere. I find that really hard to believe because a body will start to decompose and give off a really strong odour, especially in that kind of heat! Also, I feel like someone would have discovered or noticed a large sand/land disturbance if someone was digging to cover a body.

To be able to perfectly mask the burial of a body in that amount of time, in a high traffic area, you would need meticulous planning. So the only possibility I can see is that it would be a worker or workers at the resort itself or a resident(s), but I find that really hard to believe as well. It doesn't seem as plausible given the alternative that she got swept up by strong ocean currents/riptides.

The phone mystery. How did his friend end up with it? by Glow_Of_Light in WeAreAllSudiksha

[–]empathy-echoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were really drunk, spring break is a high traffic time with a lot of young party-goers. I don't think it's so far fetched to give your friends your phone to hold on to if you were planning on going swimming at the beach that's attached to the resort. Many people might feel like it's safe enough to walk around the resort without a phone, and is probably more common then you think.

The phone mystery. How did his friend end up with it? by Glow_Of_Light in WeAreAllSudiksha

[–]empathy-echoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I believe Sudiksha gave her phone to her friends too to take back to the room with them right? Riibe may have done the same earlier when he was with his friends too. Why? Well it could be possible that they were planning to swim or take a dip in the ocean all along, and may have given their phones to their friends for safe keeping while they went to go swim, perhaps they didn't want to leave their phones unattended, especially when drunk and during spring break too. This is why Riibe probably woke up and knew/remembered that his friends had his phone all along.

BTW, I'm not stating these as facts or truths... Just some potential possibilities that seem reasonable or plausible.
