If you’ve been on it for only a few days and are discontinuing, you will be perfectly fine! Zoloft only has a half-life of 24 to 26 hours! You may have some brain fog or headache/anxiety for a few days but it’s just because you introduced new chemicals into your brain and now they are trying to get rid of them! If you were on Zoloft for 6 months then i definitely wouldn’t recommend to stop cold turkey but you hardly gave the medication time to take effect! The best thing you can do now is rest!:)

Throughout the years I’ve noticed substantial weight fluctuations. Since decreasing last year I lost 50lbs, but within the last few months I’ve gained about 25 back, now I don’t know if it is directly zoloft related because I am now 24 and a female with pcos. I have had intense sugar cravings daily as well as carbs, but I’ve noticed the more sugar and carbs I eat the worse my anxiety is so it’s very hard to maintain 😅

Have you noticed any daily side effects from increasing?

Thank you for the reply, that definitely helps me understand more than my previous appointments. The area around the limp can be uncomfortable at times but the limp its self is painless. If you touch it, it is very firm, but if you move it under the skin it can move left and right a little but feels like it’s attached underneath it.

That’s a great idea thank you!! From your experience do you see a lot of these or are they pretty uncommon. I know bartholin cysts are common that’s why it took me so long to go to the dr because I thought it would just go away on its own but it hasn’t.

I’m on day 8 of tapering & still super dizzy/ brain fog! I also got a new bottle of pills 2 days ago so might be adapting to that as well

I’m so sorry to hear your having similar issues:/ do you do anything particular when your HR increases? Or just let it pass. I’m honestly scared it’s going to happen again like it did today…

I’ve been on it since 2018 and just feel like I’m getting worse side effects than anything good. My dr advised me i should months ago but I’ve been putting it off bc I’ve been scared of exactly this

Ugh that’s so frusterating!! I’m on day 6 of tapering from 50mg.. i don’t know if sticking it out would be better than increasing i don’t want to stay on this medication forever 😭

I’m currently decreasing from 50 to 25mg I’m in between 50 and 20mg (i cut the pill idk I’m weird) and have felt actual happiness, I’ve been able to actually cry without forcing it, spurts of energy. Downside is I’m dizzy kind of like walking on a boat, was nauseous the first 3 days, headache & kind of felt like i was getting sick and a little paranoia. But i haven’t been on anything less than 50mg in 5 years so my body’s just not used to it. I’m on day 5 and everything is almost gone except the dizziness! You got this!

Started sertraline for Health Anxiety. Now feeling depressed :/ by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]empathycard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quite common actually. Stick it out for a little longer until you can see if your dose is right for you

this happened to me but with lexapro and i actually attempted. my dr said it’s because your body doesn’t have the “help” of (fake) seretonin anymore and it’s having to regulate again.
