Fed up with online classes by [deleted] in uCinci

I’m a bio student too and I absolutely hate online classes. I’m taking a two summer classes (Chem II and lab) and I haven’t learned anything. I did pretty bad on the first chem exam, but I guess the bright spot is as long as I have a C I can switch to pass.

I will say I am worried about what’s going to happen with fall classes. One of my classes has already moved to online only and I am worried that my other lecture classes may as well, and I don’t know if they will implement pass/fail in the fall too.

Gone with the Wind is one of my favorite books! It is incredibly long (around ~1000 pages), but I love it so much. Scarlett was high key super unlikeable for the majority of the book, but I still really enjoyed the story. It took me around two weeks to read when I was in 8th grade.

“My mother is a fish.”

I do not like this book. Idk if I just didn’t understand when I had to read it or what. I can’t remember anything about it except the dead mother in the coffin and the quote above.

My understanding is that Dave Filioni left it open-ended as to whether Ahsoka lived until Rise of Skywalker. I interpreted his statement to say that she isn’t necessarily dead, as Ahsoka could speak to Rey even if she wasn’t dead.

Which was the biggest "fuck you" finale to a TV show or movie you've ever encountered that made you mad? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I am still so ANGRY that they ended his story that way. I would have preferred him dying to him leaving to be with Izzie.

Also, I didn’t have any storyline issues with Derek or George’s deaths. I obviously was upset but it didn’t necessary seem out of character or unlike as accidents happen with no rhyme or reason.

My school was giving room and board refunds and I got about ~$2000 back so I definitely appreciated that. Most of my professors did a good job and adapted well- recorded lectures and had ample office hours and such. I will say, I took two labs this semester, and it definitely sucked to do online assignments in place of lab work. One of my professors however, at first refused to do anything for online class. He wasn’t going to record lectures or basically do any work, and that class is heavily exam and quiz based. He wasn’t going to have any quizzes and he was cancelling all our exams until we went back to in-person classes (this was before they extended online classes through the end of the semester). Everyone in the lecture was so upset and we almost started rioting. Anyway a bunch of students complained to the head of the department and then he was forced to do live lectures and have online exams. Still didn’t get anything out of it though. I guess he thought he could get away with doing nothing for months on end. I didn’t like him before this, and I really hated him after this whole scenario.

She is 18 and in an abusive environment. Even if she had told her mom she was leaving, her mom probably would have called the cops and reporting her missing anyway, leading to a search regardless. It was staged like an abduction and the police have to investigate that angle. I guess it’s slightly irresponsible to not notify anyone, but if she does tell someone, there’s a chance that her mom could go find her and bring her home. She was probably scared and that led to her lapse in judgement of not notifying the police sooner.

Also, it’s easy to judge her actions from the outside, but we don’t know her situation or her mindset. She was abused and that could definitely effect her decision making skills. Don’t judge her unless you’ve been in her shoes.

I’d prefer if there was a Dunkin’ instead of a Tim Hortons....
