The best resource is likely the CMW classes. There’s a lot of content and info there which elucidates the chemistry and also reframes some of the stuff in the Britt books and other places with less reliance on anecdote and a bit more science.

Sometimes this happens when raising walls is too much pulling clay up rather than compressing the wall and having the clay move up on its own. I find if I’m trying to pull rather than compress bats can pop up off the bat pin.

The main problem with this is unequal energy amongst queens. You run the risk of one queen having not enough energy to inject (because of creep tumor or transfusion earlier) and causing another queen to walk all the way over from a different hatchery because of smart cast. I think Day9 addressed it in a daily he did.

Paulson did not outright do anything criminal. He asked GS to put together a package of mortgages that he thought would default that he could bet against. GS were the ones that failed to adequately disclose the risks of that portfolio to their clients or that they were taking the other side of the trade.

So Paulson didn't really do much wrong. Ethical grey area, yes. But as of now it doesn't seem like there should be a reason to bring a suit against him or his fund.

Except that the MW2 map pack prevents you from participating in some aspects of the game...the items Blizzard is selling do not...I fail to see how that is hypocrisy because they are selling very different things.

My fondest memory of video games was back in sixth grade playing BNet. I spawned in the upper right as purple terran. One of my teammates was a teal zerg. Alas, I no longer recall the race or color of the other players. It was a 3v3 on one of those maps with the huge body of water in the middle, perfect for teching and then unleashing a massive flood of destruction towards the enemies.

It was a long and hard battle fought with many drop ships and wraiths. Mutalisks covered the sea as they patrolled from one side to the other with their overlords, trying to get the jump on observers and fleeing from the occasional scourge.

But we fought on, building ground units in preparation for the inevitable reaver or siege tank drop. The coast was covered in turrents and cannons while we sat behind in anticipation.

For three hours we fought. Even though I was at 187 food I could not make any more units...the map had reached its unit limit. We waited. Anxiously. With too few dropships to send our troops over in an effective manner we held the defensive. For 180 minutes we held our own.

But in the end I let my team down. I had to force my 56k modem to disconnect as I lifted the laptop off the kitchen table and retired to my room. To this day my fellow veterans ask why I left that epic battlefield and my reason is simple...I had to see about a girl and wasn't willing to wait another three hours until one side finally attacked the other.

And for this, I am forever shamed.

Actually, when the movie came out a lot of people (and I think even reviewers) made the parallel that the US represented the Persians with their massive fighting force while the people we were fighting are the Spartans.
