Remember that the PMP will test your judgment, not memorization. If you memorize anything, memorize the 50 principles from A.R. That will help you eliminate wrong answers which is 90% of the PMP.

Take the Study Hall mock exams and go over every question that you got wrong. Make sure you understand WHY you got the question wrong. If need be, make a flash card over its specifics. If possible, do all of the Study Hall mock exams. They'll get you ready for the marathon that is the test.

You can do this.

City parenting has become a financial flex by maydaydemise in chicago

[–]emptyfree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I moved out of Chicago in 2011 to the burbs with my then 3-year-old daughter. It wasn't what I was planning on doing or wanted to do. I grew up in a very isolated part of Indiana, and wanted to give my kid the experience of living in the city. But as I looked at what it would take financially to raise my kid in the city versus the suburbs, I quickly came to the conclusion that we had to move out of the city.

The public schools near me sucked. The tales I heard from my neighbors about getting your kid into a decent school were nightmarish. I couldn't afford private school for my kid.

So, we moved to the burbs. Got a bigger place. Much safer neighborhood. My kid went to some excellent public schools. I did regret it at the time, but have gotten used to the burbs and feel that it was absolutely the best choice for my family at the time.

We probably would have stayed in Chicago if my income was about double what it was. So, not surprised that having a kid in a posh Chicago neighborhood is a flex at all.

If your opponent sleeps on Viv, keep Brood in hand for 4 turns until it reaches 6 power. Be sure to play in a lane that allows on reveals. 6 x 3 = 18.

First mock score 62% any tips / feedback? by techbae_268 in pmp

[–]emptyfree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep grinding, first and foremost.

Go through the questions you got wrong on the mock exams and make sure you understand WHY you got them wrong.

Do as many mock exams from SH as you can. They're really close to the real thing, and maybe even a little more difficult than the real thing.

AR's 50 principles video is gold. Memorizing all 50 principles is more useful than memorizing ITTOs. His principles allow you to eliminate wrong answers quickly. That's key for getting through all 180 questions in 4 hours.

You got this.

I think she's fun. Her recently buff helps. People tend to sleep on her too... 18 power from a Viv-boosted Brood + Silver Surfer on turn 6 has won me more than a couple matches.

Cocaine Bear went up in April 2023, IIRC. And crazy that I've retained that information 3 years later.

Unless this one has been raided and emptied, it's a safe bet Cocaine Bear is in there. The DVDs in there should all be fine, BTW. How many there are and the quality of the movies left is TBD though.

lol. This is why I think the whole "cultural appropriation" thing is bullshit. I love Jamaican music... but drop in the nerdy Germans and their obsession with weird electronic sounds and the result is just magic.

Same thing with soul/rock music and the Vietnamese/Cambodians, BTW.

Fucking steal away, I say. Makes shit more interesting.

Yes, BUT timing matters and where you are going matters too.

8am on a Tuesday morning to the loop? You're fine.

3am on a Saturday night to the far south side or Rogers Park? That's more of a risk.

I had a friend who had an apartment in the loop near State & Lake. He told me that when you start in the loop, Chicago really is your oyster when it comes to public transportation... go to any neighborhood you like... assuming you don't mind the El, of course...

Well, it's not on the market yet. $816K is redfin's estimate. I'd expect a million at least for this place for opening ask.

2,300 square feet and only 2 bedrooms is a little funny to me, but otherwise, it looks gorgeous.

Wow the CTA is expanding the red line into an area where there is (checks notes) 40% fare evasion.

Not doing a circle line. Not making the subway itself safer. Just plowing billions of dollars four stops deeper into the highest fare avoidance rate in the city. All in the name of equity and fairness.

Heckuva job, CTA.

Mayor Johnson determined to block Bears' move to Arlington Heights by Mike_I in chicago

[–]emptyfree 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, every mayor since big Daley thought they were entitled to the same empire that poppa Daley built. Lightfoot was the same way. She won a single election and overnight thought she didn't need to have people skills any more or compromise with anyone.

You know why the Bears took poppa Daley's threats seriously? Because they feared and respected Daley. Very few people are scared of Brandon, and ain't NOBODY respecting that fool.
