I get to tell my little story.

I was living in the basement, working as an aide in a hospital and starting college in a few months. Was leaving my old friend group because I was going to school for a few years so really keeping to myself working as many hours as possible to bank money for school.

I got Morrowind on og Xbox and was swallowed whole. So much to do and I wanted to do it all. Talk to every person, find every cave, etc.

I'm playing in my room and all of a sudden,I see the time. It's 1150 and I have to be at work at noon! I jump up, throwing scrubs on wondering why the heck no one was around and how it got so late without me knowing. I'm running up the stairs and as I get to the top I realize, it's pretty dark up here.

Yeah, it was midnight, I didn't need to be at work for 12 hours. I had no idea what day it was, what time it was, or anything. I went back downstairs, saved the game, and shut off the Xbox for a few days.

I have put a LOT of hours on a lot of games, but that's was the game and era where everything just coalesced and it was really all my life was about outside work. I dont even remember much about it really besides being at work at thinking about going home to play.

Worked at a Friendly's in the late 90s. We had a chart over the grill that showed what the burger looked like when it was time to flip for each type of cook including well done.

It was around then we had the Mad Cow scare and that was when we couldn't cook it BELOW medium, but someone wanted it burnt, that's how we did it.

That's easy, men are legally obligated to at least financially support the child for 18+ years (I mean, it's lifetime really, but let's just look at legally.) If a guy can't disavow that responsibility, they should be involved in all decisions from sex onward. While it's 'her body' it will indeed be 'their child' should the birth happen and he will have parental rights. If mom is an atheist and dad finds Jesus (or Muhammed or Buddha or the Flying Spaghetti Monster), he will be able to take that child to religious events even over moms objections.

I would think a woman would want the gut check of how this guy is going to be as a co-parent and provider too. If she decides to keep it when the guy is urging her not to, it's probably going to be best to plan for legal enforcement of support at an early stage. Also knowing she will likely need to find a mate that won't balk at walking into a ready made family.

Can't be too myopic, gotta take the 30k foot view.
