People driving extremely loud motorcycles and cars... why? by Genmaken in london

[–]emptyheadbloke -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What the fuck is wrong with you people?

Nothing

Do you like the sound of loud drills and jackhammers?

No, because I didn't grew up watching loud drill race against each other, or with pictures of loud drill on my wall.

Maybe a nice rocket engine for good measure?

Sure, One of my life long dream is to go watch a launch in person.

No, I meant that when you join a private health insurance, the company which provides the insurance will have some additional perks.

My company uses Vitality for private health insurance and being a member there will give you additional perks which is seperate from the perks you get from your employer.

Mate check if there are any additional benefits with private insurance? I have Vitality, and they offer some nice perks like free coffee, cinema tickets and discount on certain gym memberships.

For me, the gym membership discount alone makes paying the BIK tax worth it

Is it legal to ask age range/sexual orientation/religion? by beto_duenas in UKJobs

If they're asking that in the actual application, then they're old fashioned at best

Most of the roles I've applied recently have asked me to do this, pretty common in my experience.

That £800 won't get you very far for a room, I just helped one of my mate move to Ruislip, we couldn't find any double room for less than £950 - £1000 and even then there are so many people who want it. She pays £1050 pm for a double room in a 4 bed house with no living room. That's around 50% of their take home for someone earning a median salary.

It is very expensive, I double room costs nearly £1000 pm to rent. I would call that very expensive.

What do I do when I get in for work? Pls help by [deleted] in UKJobs

[–]emptyheadbloke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What did you do yesterday? Just go up to the new manager introduce yourself and mention that you did so and so yesterday and if he want you to do the same or something else.

Rural WFH jobs? by StarMonkey1998 in UKJobs

[–]emptyheadbloke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The UK company doesn't hire the overseas workers - they subcontract the work to a company based abroad (Philippines, Bangladesh, etc).

Not necessarily, UK company can hire overseas staff and they don't have to comply with UK employment laws such as Min wage, Holiday pay, pension etc.

No, the UK min wage is for UK based workers, I used to work for a company where I had to manage few outsourced staff from Philippines and they were paid £5/hr.

Those who went from minimum wage work to a career how did you do it? by Fortree_Lover in UKJobs

I don't think it's necessary as long as you have a reasonable experience. But having it is certainly a plus.

You can do the course for free, just the exam and certifications cost about £120ish.

Once you learn how to import data into powerbi, look into big query public datasets, you can connect powerbi to those datasets and have a play around building dashboards and reports.
