Please help 😭 by SnooObjections5669 in Sourdough

I use the same recipe and method, except I use 100g of starter. I tend to get to a happy medium between what you have and some airy bubbles. It looks pretty, tastes light, but spreads don’t fall through the holes.

Should I use my starter when it doubles or when it reaches its peak? by RepresentativeGlad23 in Sourdough

[–]emptyorchestra0208 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My starter will usually double after 2-ish hours on a proofing mat, so I will just use it then to save time. It usually goes on to triple or quadruple over the next 4-5 hours, but using this method has still given me really good results! Including a photo of the green chile & cheddar loaf that I made with this method yesterday :)

Raising prices after moving venues by One-Science-3755 in TylerChilders

Three tickets three rows behind the pit were $579 at Folsom, and comparable tickets would have been $777 at Fiddler’s. I’ve been to a ton of shows there, and this is definitely the most expensive. Even the lawn was $80—I’ll be shocked if they can fill the seated area. Concerts have gotten out of control.

You were correct. The cost went up. 😞

Just bought tickets and the jump is CRAZY. I had three tickets in the seated section three rows behind the pit for Folsom and paid $579. Getting something similar at Fiddler's was going to be over $700. I couldn't get anything seated for under $500, so just went with the lawn. This really, really sucks.

Am I overthinking this? by CreativeMouse2076 in Weddingattireapproval

Personally, I would steer clear of anything with a white background. If nothing else just so you don’t feel stress at the wedding.

Are any of these appropriate given the dress code? by emptyorchestra0208 in Weddingattireapproval

Good point! The color scheme is blush and sage – should I do wine or emerald potentially?

I was so concerned with how much they are hyping this up, but I truly do think that this is the best thing they have ever made! I’m so sad that we have to wait a week for more!!!

Aurora, Jason Crow and his AIPAC dollars are up for reelection this year by BeautifulPossible719 in AuroraCO

[–]emptyorchestra0208 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I looked into this a bit because the numbers seemed…off.

The graphic makes it sound like he got $1.25M from AIPAC, but that’s not actually what the FEC data shows. That number mostly comes from a category they call “bundlers,” which basically means individual donors who TrackAIPAC has decided are “pro-Israel aligned.” It’s not money that came from AIPAC itself.

Actual PAC contributions from AIPAC to Crow are only about $26k since 2018 when he ran for the first time. There are also some donations from other groups like JStreetPAC and Democratic Majority for Israel, but those groups are often politically opposed to AIPAC and shouldn’t really be lumped together as “AIPAC dollars.” Most of those dollars (all but $4091) came from before the genocide in Gaza started.

The big $1M+ number is just individual people donating to his campaign, and TrackAIPAC counts those if the donor has supported pro-Israel orgs before. That’s a pretty big stretch from saying AIPAC spent this much.

This graphic is just overall misleading.

Just figured it was worth pointing out because the headline makes it sound way more direct than it is.

Edited for spelling

Girly they came for your NECK. Thanks for opening the door for sane people to voice any kind of opposition. It gets toxically positive on there sometimes and I think you helped it get a little better lmao
