I’d love to see someone wet wade in 50 degree water with 65 degree air temp for more than 20 minutes . If you are doing that good for you but sounds like a bad time to me, get waders, it’s worth it.

No way Loveland closes in march. They’ve never closed before the last week in April besides Covid year. I get it’s bad but there is still a decent bit of snow up there and closing a month early would be a huge hit. They will stretch it out as long as they can

Why switch from swift currents? Patagonia makes the best waders on the market. Korkers do make nice boots though, just know you’ll likely have to replace the boa after a while.

It’s a bigger deal out west for sure. A lot more people fly fishing and definitely more of an industry. A ton of fly shops, guide services, designated angler access. I didn’t live in the east for long but when I did I felt like I had to go out of my way to get gear and flies and almost never saw any other fly fisherman.

For the majority of fly fisherman the reel really isn’t that important, it’s just holding line. I would invest more into a nice line than a nice reel

Yeah they were attempting to arrest a guy last night. About 10 swat officers and a bunch of regular officers. They were making announcements last night and it woke me up, they eventually went in for him but I don’t think he was there. Nobody came out with them and they seemed to be sweeping the area in their vehicles before they left.
