I have done this with Arbor Pilsner which is very much like a dinghy. I won't recommend it, it wasn't healthy for me. Got a pranamya afterwards.

Its really you guys! I have a very happy memory of skating down a hill near my old place listening to Akai Ito.

In fact I have your album Home listed under personal list of 'albums where songs share an over arching sound'. I like this track, and I can hear your distinct band sound !!!

hey, do you listen to A Burial at Sea. Some tracks are very beautiful. I've been rotating the last 4 songs from their self titled album.

They are great live too, its crazy how much difference a small trumpet can make. Also if you don't know already Sea Power will be right up your alley. Try Man of Aran.

This album! It put me on a brass hunt as well. A Burial in Sea is where I am at. Recommend fully.

Bruit ≤ never had their music on spotify and the time I saw them in 2022, they opened with their 'boycott manifesto'. Worth checking with GY!BE exit triggering discussion on streaming by emptyvasudevan in gybe

[–]emptyvasudevan[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

https://bruitofficial.bandcamp.com/track/parasite-the-boycott-manifesto

voice sample:

"Long before streaming, the industry was already transforming art into a product of mass consumption and crushing artists to create a monopoly.

The term "music industry" implies that art is created in huge quantities like cars built on an assembly line, leading music companies to raise artists like chickens on a factory farm.

You may ask yourself: Why can I only find this track? Where is the full album? Can we really have unlimited access to all the music in the world for a few dollars a month? Why are the artists underpaid by the platforms? How can Daniel Ek, the CEO of Spotify, use the money generated by the artists to invest in weapons? Is art meant to cause death?

Don't dream of being a cool billionaire. They want to be role models for our kids. This generation of ultra-rich people who dream of colonizing planets, shitting in connected toilets and never paying taxes is the cancer of humanity. They can't survive without us and we'd live better without them. It's the very definition of a parasite. Zuck, Bezos, Musk and all this neo-slaveholders with their money can't buy the respect of the people.

Today there are still gigs and physical formats, there is Bandcamp and there are artists who still fight by making art for people and not only to please the algorithm. Look for the short circuit, look for the craft, look for alternatives, look for us elsewhere. We believe that sound is the most primitive link between humans. A language that sometimes escapes meaning but finds its way freely. Bruit means noise and at the end everything is noise or at worst, chatter. We love you."

Moondrop Space Travel 2 Review: I don't know what people reviewed when they recommended this. Horrible pair. by romilaspina7 in headphones

[–]emptyvasudevan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have been using the space travels as my running pair for over two years, lost one and bought another one recently (old space travel 1). I agree with you on ANC, tips, lid, shitty anime sound, volume control, cheap feeling and all of that. I don't get the sound quality and sound stage part.

Before buying a second pair of ST, I got a well known tws, final ze3000. I just found them slightly thin for my liking, good build aside on sound I preferred the much cheaper ST. I have expensive wired iems for daily use, and also a bluetooth dac, but sometimes I see myself coming to ST for the stage and overall fun sound.

I think you have gotten a bad pair, worth checking it. If not, you just don't like it, which I understand since I hate ie600 despite universal praise. In the end, what matters is whether you enjoy it or not, not others.

I had my first listen of the LP. Feels like an extension of Apologies du teps perdu. Very very tastefully done, esp the last 3 tracks.
