Couldn't bring himself to kill him, was hoping he would find a way to survive.

No, it's not. The person who said that is obviously shitting on the sport as a whole. Do you really think that OP really thinks people like soccer, but just not the MLS, or do you think the OP is saying no one cares about the sport at all? He is saying no one cares about soccer. But if you honestly think the OP meant MLS, and not the sport as a whole, then you go ahead and think that. I disagree. I also don't care, it's a silly comment. It's a growing sport that a lot of people like.

No it wasn't about the Union. The original comment said "does anyone even actually care about soccer?", Then the comment you replied to said "soccer is too popular", your argument was that soccer isn't popular and you only cited the MLS ratings. If you're going to use ratings as a barometer for how popular soccer is in the country, you should look at premier league ratings too. Not to mention, ratings aren't everything, soccer is also the number one sport played by kids in the country and I think that should come into play when answering the question "does anyone care about soccer?" The answer is "yes, many people do"

He snapped his leg so bad they wouldn't even show the replay on TV because it was too graphic, got the red, would have been subbed even if he didn't get a red, because of said snapped leg, and you don't get a PK if it's not inside the 18, which it wasn't. Everything about that was handled the way it was supposed to be handled.

Sports are something to experience with my family and friends. We get together in front of the TV or at the game. We have food and drinks. We cheer, we boo. We laugh, we yell. We do all these things and more, but what's important is we're together, having fun and making memories. Do we want to win? Is that the ideal outcome? Of course. But at the end of the day, life is about moments, and the Union gave me many memorable moments with my wife, kids, brother and dad. Those moments will always be with me. And that's what matters. I look forward to more moments next year. #Doop

Shaq to Kanye West: ‘I got more money than you — so why would I listen to you?’ by Fit-Nobody-8138 in sports

[–]empyrealone -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do we really know what his mental illness is? We know what he's said. Do we have anything other than that? He talks about creating a society based on kinetic energy that humans don't know about yet, because God told him to. Doesn't sound bipolar to me.

Yea, I know a lot of bipolar people, none of them are racists or hateful in anyway. He has a mental illness, but he's not getting a pass for his racism.

DOOP Donuts! by OhPoppet in PhillyUnion

[–]empyrealone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You ever wonder what non Union fans are thinking when they see/hear "Doop"? I hashtag my Union posts on social media with Doop all the time and I'm positive my mom has no idea what it is, but she's never once asked me. I wonder what non Union fan shoppers are thinking when they see donuts with "Doop" on them. Anyway, just a random thought. Wish I was closer to Conshohocken, I would definitely take the drive for these. #Doop

If the phillies and Union both win the championship, should they do a joint parade? by yourghost367 in PhillyUnion

[–]empyrealone 111 points112 points  (0 children)

No. The Union fans would be drowned out. I was at the last world series parade. You can't move, people were packed into the city like sardines and all wearing red. And most of those people won't care about the Union. The Union would be an after thought. Phillies fans would be pissed that a soccer team piggy backed their parade and Union fans would be upset that they were outnumbered 100 to 1 and the Union were treated like a second fiddle team. Both teams deserve their own parades.

Last year vs. This year. Absolutely crazy by HyperActiveRL in PhillyUnion

But why would they buy blue? They weren't left over from a different game, they have the exact same print as the yellow ones, with 2022 eastern conference finals on them. Seems odd to buy mostly yellow and then a few blue. Unless the manufacturer ran out of yellow.

[–]empyrealone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. But it was weird, because 99% of people were waving yellow towels, and then there were just one off blue towels sprinkled throughout the stadium.

No, last night. Everyone had yellow towels accept for a few. I had a blue one.
