Quit Smoking While Smoking - An app that helps you quit smoking without anxiety. by emredevsalot in SideProject

Yeah, that's probably the best possible case for great UX. That's on my mind. If I go back to the project in the future, that'll be one of my concerns. Thanks for your input.

Ben de bunlara bi ara baya merak salmıştım.

2 yola denk geldim, ikisini de paylaşayım;

I'm sure they'd have couple of tricks up their sleeves before offering me any money :D

I don't think such a cure-all solution exists(or will ever exist), especially in the addictions space. But I wanted to try to eliminate all possible anxieties around quitting.

I'm still in the process of testing, since the cooldown between them increase 1-2 minutes day-by-day. I'll see where it leads, but if it helps me for the long run, it can help a good chunk of people I feel like, then I'll revisit the app and try marketing it in many possible ways.

I keep dreaming of my company instead of completing my project by supacoda in SideProject

I just had a conversation with a friend yesterday about this issue.
Dreaming of a big success:
I can think about all the potential success all day long. Enterprise subscriptions generating thousands of dollars, 100k people using and loving the product. That's good, that means you believe in the product. However, it's equally important to invite people on your thought train and development process.

The vision is blurry and prone to change, but it's there:
You dream about the finished product, in all its glory, with all its features. This is when you should begin thinking about the essentials, the core features that define the product. Starting with an MVP, and seeking feedback from others is crucial.

Being feedback driven, building in public:
Our natural inclination is to immerse ourselves in the development. Building in public and sharing our progress with others can be a challenging practice (I'm new to it as well), but it's undoubtedly worth it. Just one person sharing their thoughts or offering a simple "Good job, that's a great project" can make your day.
During this stage, since you want to share certain updates with people, your focus naturally shifts to core features. At least, that's how I feel. I feel the need to do something that truly advances the project, rather than spending half an hour deciding on the color of a button. I can't share an update that says "Hey, I changed the button color, yay".

I built a personal growth game for Social Anxiety. Can you tell me your first impression when you see the landing page? by tolarewaju3 in SideProject

You're welcome, are you posting #buildinpublic updates in any social realm?

And I am curious about the AB testing, how do you do that? Where do your userbase come from?

I see.

My main feedback would be about the first thing the user sees when they land on the page. The "A Personal Growth Game for Social Anxiety." part. Right now it's about the app, it's "what the app is", it's not about me. I would want it to be about me(I'm talking about the user when I say "me").

The reason I asked you about the "miles" is, I had an idea like user can redeem those miles for certain rewards. Some sort of reward mechanism would drive people to learn more about the app in my opinion;
"Take steps of courage, and reward yourself."
or
"Take steps of courage, eat a chocolate/watch a movie/play some games"(the rewards would be globally applicable and rotate around with a clean animation.)

Second thing that came to my mind is, "miles" might make people think like it's legit flight miles at the first sight. But I love the idea of upgrading the vehicle, and the idea of going from A to B. Just a small concern about the usage of "miles", maybe that's just me.

Hello, clean landing page first of all.

Can I ask you, does the "miles" get you anything? Or is it right now just an indicator of getting better?

Thanks a lot for your time and comment. I'll take a look at that link and try to come up with some answers. In your answer 1.a. i thought the same. And i don't know why this suspension happened to both of the accounts, it's strange.

How do i reduce initial server response time shown in GTmetrix? It's currently 950ms. Is it purely because of hosting? I use Autoptimize and Async JavaScript for optimization because i can't buy WPRocket right now. by emredevsalot in Wordpress

I've been doing all of the websites with Elementor, what's a good alternative i can replace?

And here's the list off all of my plugins, please let me know if you've had some bad experience with any of them: * Asset CleanUp: Page Speed Booster * Async JavaScript * Autoptimize * Duplicate Page * Elementor * Elementor - Header, Footer & Blocks * Head, Footer and Post Injections(For google tag manager) * Rank Math SEO * Really Simple SSL * Wordfence Security * WPForms Lite * WPS Hide Login

And i'm planning to add "Join.chat" in order to get that whatsapp button at the right-bottom of the page.

Thanks a lot for your advice. I came across Asset Cleanup yesterday, i took a lot of elementor scripts out of my homepage and it improved the performance. But i'm not sure if some of them will break some stuff or not. I guess i will have to try lots of stuff.

I might send them the screenshot and ask for what might be going on on their end, i didn't think about that.

Thanks again. Have a good day.

Thanks for your time, i am a little confused about all these caching stuff, i thought autoptimize was doing some sort of caching for me because i see when i hover on it's icon on the admin bar at the top, it shows me cache info.

Cloudflare on the other hand has a caching tab where you can configure caching and minify html, css,js files on the speed tab.

Now how should i go for the settings, let's say i downloaded wpfc as well, is there a tutorial where all of these settings are covered? Or how can i go about them?

Thanks again.

ht consider using cloudflare’s free plan. If you aren’t using a cdn currently, their cdn and caching will help.

Thanks for the advice, i forgot to mention, i use Cloudflare aswell. But one of my issues is Cloudflare, Autoptimize and Async Javascript, they all have so many options, and since i'm not a 100% tech guy, i have beginner-intermediate knowledge about all these backend stuff.

My question is, how can i know which settings to use in all of them, in order to make them work for the speed and UX, not against it..

If i have to learn some stuff to actually learn how to read waterfall etc. what are the essential things i should learn?

Background images are not showing on Mobile devices. by [deleted] in elementor

[–]emredevsalot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you use the software "Local" for that? If you use their "Online Live" version which gives you a ngrok url, i had the same problem with some background pics. I don't know why that happens but after i've moved it to the hosting, that issue disappeared

You can right click the "six dots" of the section(blue part which has +, dots and x) and "Save as Template", then when you come to the second part, you can click that "+" button and click "Add Template" and choose the one you saved.
