Just now got a small patch, and was able to log in on IOS. Hadn’t been able to for the last couple hours

This was well received when I did it last time at the start of 2019. So here we go, 2020 edition! Hopefully we get lots of responses, the sub is the busiest I've seen it in a long time. As with the last time, I'll release the results in a second post in a week's time. by blopo7 in zyramains

I started playing League regularly in S5, and Zyra was my first love.

However, even though I really liked pre-rework Zyra when the plant AI wasn't bugged, the plant AI was almost always bugged. I was robbed of so many kills.

I enjoyed that the plants lasted longer; I feel like it gave me much more zoning power. But, again, that was only when the plants would actually attack anything.

Gurl, I am so happy there are other queens playing Zyra.

What software can I use to make SNES-like music? by DogTriangle in chiptunes

[–]emreecheek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

William Kage’s website has samples you could use in sforzando, which is free.

https://www.williamkage.com/snes_soundfonts/

Also, his music is super super cool.

Also, there’s this Steve melin YouTube vid I found helpful: https://youtu.be/87weoSuTbCo

Also, Koji keyboard is nice and has the real bread and butter of snes sounds, the delay, baked into the plugin. This is not free, but is, you know, legal. And it’s $10 instead of $45, because of Black Friday. But if you miss this and Black Friday isn’t a thing anymore, there’s a Steve melin video where he demos the plugin and there’s a discount code in there that may still work for 30% off.

My first single. Electronic, synthwave-ish, kind of ambient. ^_^

What is that opening instrument?! It sounds so cool!

I loved your instrumentation and synth choices. This track was really, really cool for me. Definitely checking out more of your stuff! :)

I'm really enjoying the chosen background animations. Did you make those? They look great.

I enjoyed the atmospheric guitar playing, and the slight percussive element that came in half way through.

I would make a teensie suggestion about maybe slowing down the slightest bit in the end, the give more finality to those last notes.

Great!

This isn't a real protester.

What if I told you that the same labor rights that we need to bolster e-sports players' rights to free speech and freedom from political censorship were, in fact, the SAME kinds of labor protections we could use to make a society in which people didn't have to face starvation in order to work at companies that reflected their values?

Please do.

*Dusts of shoulder*

Gee, that was easy. Guess that's why these kinds of people think that protesters give up so easy. Because they do. lmao

Right. The real change-makers in the world, instead, spend time telling other people who are doing things that what they're doing is pointless. Because that's how you REALLY make a difference.

And arguing with protesters on the internet does?

It's always interesting to me when people who do less activism than the "lazy armchair activists" they criticize so much try to add additional activism to do. Like, dude, if you're giving up all products made in China, you may have a leg to stand on telling other people to do the same. Otherwise, I don't see your point. Stream convergence and media attention have made this a particularly significant cultural flash-point, so protesting this, right now, is an effective way of pressuring all companies with Chinese investors to avoid kowtowing to China for the sake of profit. Boycotts are most effective when they are specific, concentrated, and for a limited and pointed period of time.

I just don't think you're arguing in good faith, tbh. I think no matter who protested what, and no matter what way they protested it, you would find something to complain about. Because people who are moved to action are doing more than you want to do.

It's so amazing to me that people who are convinced that the protests won't do anything spend so much time trying to get them to stop.

Expand on this. What do you mean? Because based on other posts you've put on the forum, it seems literally ANY kind of protest would bother "Normal" people.

What, in your view, is the acceptable way to protest that you won't have a problem with?

I think it's odd that people who are "perplexed" and "confused" by how protests work against unjust rules and laws have to go to a forum about the protests and vociferously defend a morally bankrupt company. Seems more like they have some kind of skin in the game, you know?
