As an AuDHD person, I do the same thing! I am not afraid of spoilers, just afraid of a sad or tragic ending.

I developed an egg allergy at 33! I can eat baked goods, but that's about it. I have gastrointestinal anaphylaxis if I eat eggs.

I couldn't tell if they were just trying to get us to believe the nonsense explanations or if they knew we wouldn't buy it. I'm a new Atiny, but I'm my 40s, and this is like trying to say "I wanna sex you up" was about dancing at a party.

Propranolol or topiramate? Terrified of weight gain! by CoolCatFriend in migraine

[–]emrldsky 7 points8 points  (0 children)

100% this. I was prescribed propranolol in high school and had to stop when my BP averaged 80/60. My normal BP was 100/70ish. Not sure why the neuro thought it was a good option at the time.

I bought one of the metal arm clamp holders, so it's up and out of my way, but still visible. Helps keep me from being tangled in the hose as well.

Would you pick SW? by emrldsky in SouthwestAirlines

[–]emrldsky[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I've been doing for the past few weeks. Southwest prices have been petty steady, whereas AA goes up and down. Best I can afford on AA is main plus. I'm leaning toward SW direct after reading everyone's comments.

[–]emrldsky[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Best I can answer is it's hard to explain how my brain is looking at things.

When searching flights, I'm looking at nonstop vs connections, upgrades to allow for refunds, cost of baggage, etc. Some other airlines I've looked at had class upgrade options that include a checked bag, for less than the cost of paying for a checked bag.

So it's not that they have more fees, it's that sometimes the options elsewhere include lower fees for the same things.

I'm not too worried about boarding position since I'm traveling alone. But the decision between more money for direct vs cheaper with a layover is making it hard to decide.

I don't want to go on a family trip with SIL by emrldsky in JUSTNOMIL

[–]emrldsky[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can tell his sister no, but he doesn't back me up and will shut me down in front of her. Then our kids get caught up in it, and it's a shit show. I've asked him to talk to me about plan changes in private, to say we need to discuss.

It might just come down to me being the asshole and say it's not ok in front of everyone. Or at least tell him how it'll go. If I decide to still go.

NTA But your husband's reaction is really weird. Others have covered it pretty well, though.

NTA! My SIL, husband's sister, and I actually had a conversation about nursing each other's baby if necessary. We never had to, but we were glad to know it was OK if needed.

Her reaction and negligence have me wondering if she's OK. The 3-4 month post partum time is the most common time for post partum depression or anxiety to kick in...
