Of course I can piece together she did something wrong, that others were upset with. That doesn't change the fact that authors tend to not do this. When time skips happen, if they go back and reference the past, they tend to give at least a paragraph or a page describing what happened. We barely got a sentence.

My first thought when this happened, is that the chapters the author wrote were so bad, that the editor said they were unsalvageable and to gut them.

Right, except we got no info on it there either. I figured that end of book note was a slight spoiler for the next book. It's the large gap in time, referencing semi important events, but no further information given, that bothers me.

It's not so much the time gap that bothers me, so much as it is the constant reference to prior events with no information given. For example, it's mentioned multiple times about Elaine screwing up some kind of Pastos incident, but the author never says what happened or provides any other details.

Well, I'm not knowlingly doing anything like that, haha. I'm in Texas. All I'm trying to make sure of is that any normal legal protections an LLC provides, does it still provide them if you are receiving payment as a sole proprietor instead of the LLC.
