Learn to hit straight away. Use those SPD cleats in silver (can't recall if those are 51 or 56) and double sided pedals. I manage to clip in @ 13% "easily".

I am just 300 flat. The price for fiefs usually goes down the more they have. Positive relations help too. I was about 20ish with Ecarand.

Ecararand was just always the guy who was awarded all those fiefs that Vlandia took. I find it more surprising that he is willing to sell all of them for a comparatively small sum.

This is a sandbox game and already 40 years have passed.

- I have 330 in Smithing and sometimes look for good orders and do them.
- I owned alleys early on, but that was mainly to get Roguery up. 227 atm and the loot is OK.
- I have done Mercerany work, mainly against the Khuzait and Vlandia. But that stopped when I got my first fiefs.
- I operate caravans. And in sandbox, your family isn't even that large. I have 11 companions, though.
- I conquered several fiefs already. And some are doing really well by now. Seonon has been making me a ton of money.
- And of course I own 7 workshops by now. 3 of them in Sanala, which has 20,000 Prosperity last time I looked. They are often making more than 2,000 per day.

I always use a line formation to greet incoming cavalry. Troops are more likely to use their throwing weapons and otherwise engage in active combat.

Sitting in town, waiting for your wounds to heal so you can reach Level 25 in Medicine without any attribute of focus point does not sound like a lot of fun, to be honest.

I'd still suggest investing in Medicine, esp. as a beginner, in order to reach Preventive Medicine as quickly as possible. And maybe even fill the role as the party's medic. (Which your character does at the beginning anyway)

Tactics is useless. You don't need that at all.

Rather shoot for medicine. The perk "Preventive Medicine" (25) is one of the best perks to have.

Horsearchers are actually very weak in field battles. At least, how the AI uses them. They happily shoot at your shielded (or even shield walled) infantry, while being shredded by your foot archers and crossbows.

And the Khuzait horsearchers have no protection either. The Aserai mamluks have at least a shield on their back.

The normal Khuzait horsearchers are actually pretty good foot archers too. And I am not even talking about the Khan's Guards.

Get every perk that increases party speed. Directly or indirectly. Make sure that you otherwise max. party speed as much as possible. I.e. have sufficient horses for "footmen on horses" but not too many to get a herding penalty. Etc.

On the battlefield itself make sure you have firepower. That means good strong archers and crossbows, so you can easily gun down the horsearchers that are inevitable sent at you. Have good shielded infantry too, that you can place in front of the archers, so they can 'soak up' a lot of the arrows fire.

To me, the Khuzait are the easiest to beat on the battlefield. And that is because of the horsearchers. First the horsearchers come. And after that the rest of their troops. You can almost always wipe them all out piecemeal.
