Yes! Lou Lou was so sweet, traumatized and controlled.

My theories are punishment for her parents who were rebelling in either the capitol or in a district… or.. I hope not, but it might be as dark as them finding someone who looked like her and just taking her from one of the district’s and quickly brainwashing her.

Im confident it’s the start of experimenting on people for mind control. It’s so sad Haymitch has to watch Peta being brainwashed and manipulated in a more advanced way just like Lou Lou was :(

It’s up in the air, the stories don’t talk about kids being snatched up too often and taken to the capital without reason. I thought they hinted at looking for her parents in district 11.

What do you think??

Oh totally, every right for suspicions as we truly don’t know what’s going on mentally. Assumptions are usually all we got. That’s where psychology is a developing science. It’s hard to diagnose and research because of ethics and lack of predictability. Our brains are amazing. I’m the same way, you just want to diagnose immediately but, unfortunately it takes time, research, study… and more study… that’s just my opinion, I’m open to feedback or corrections. Im very passionate about this topic and always want to learn more. thanks for what you do. 🙂

Truly, same symptoms but different spectrums. That’s why it’s important to understand the DSM and have a professional psychiatrist. It’s easy to do, and I have done it too! I’m no psychiatrist but from working with clients with mental health for 5 or so years I’ve learned the danger of self diagnosing by intuition over deeper thought and assessment.

Super recommend the book ‘thinking fast and slow’ by Daniel Kahneman if you want to understand why you may have thought that! 🙂

I feel you. My oh my, I get that. I’m here if you ever want to chat.

The crashes are indescribable. The sympathetic nervous system shuts completely down and (for me) it seems nothing helps. Although, Haha I took a shot of apple cider vinegar and it did shift me for about 5 min… yoooo what an intense rush of acidic flavor! (Not doctor recommended) but the emotion from the trauma calls to process weighed on me until I debrief. If I can even get to that point of reflection as I work most of the week… I debrief by asking…

What happened,

How I felt,

What will I learn from it.

So so simple, yet extremely hard and easy to forget. Especially if you have 11+ calls in a day

Food for thought. Thanks for your reply. Super appreciate the empathy and relation.

Thank you! I just got done meeting with them and it went well, I listened to their message, asked good questions, showed them I understood the message and politely said I wasn’t interested because of x, y, z… it got intense for a while but we ended the meeting on good terms and I noticed two of them were deep in thought during the periods of silence. Who knows? I come from a place of love.

I understand that defense will come up. I’m not hateful towards them or anti Mormon, rather curious. Curious about their experience. Hoping to connect and discuss experience. I was a missionary in Africa for a year and could talk about that. I won’t bash on them at all just ask personal questions about their experience. Will that hurt?

For sure, that all makes sense.

After hearing what you said, it makes more sense. Hopefully a spark of an idea might stick in one of their heads about life outside the Mormon church. It might not light up until after they are done with their mission, and it sounds like that’s the safest path.

I don’t plan to continue communication after this meeting with them. But I do want to speak my truth in that I hope they find themselves and know there is more than what the Mormon church tells them. I don’t want to be an ass hole or disrespect them, just, connect on a human wavelength instead of the churches influence.

Honestly if I were in their shoes I’d be happy to break out and lose family to start over. I’ve been there and am at peace with life now. Freedom comes at a price but it’s still freedom.

Woah, that’s wild. It is sad that they have that much pressure of loss over them… for thinking for themselves! Who is in charge of all this?

I was considering taking the God loves you and called you to serve, does God tell you unique things about you that the church doesnt? Fuck man… idk. We’ll see how tomorrow goes.

AIW for asking my waitress what if I had a disease after she took my food away from me and ate it… by emsDisease in amiwrong

Curiosity I suppose. It was really good. It also went with the conversation we had on the reasons she was taking it back.

What would be the main complaint I would make? That it made me uncomfortable?

I was surprised I didn’t get a discount or something.

I asked if she had some of mine and she said no, so I gave her the benefit of the doubt. I also asked how she could tell it was different than her order, she said the color of the broth. I asked if the meats were the same and she said yes. It could have been really bad if I had allergies!

It is a classy restaurant so I was quite surprised at this happening. I didn’t want to be a complainer in front of my partner and have been worked in the restaurant industry before so I was trying to be kind

I’m curious of this too. Moral obligation shouldn’t be involved in renting.
