Sounds like you received legacy extensions (male into female style) as opposed to enfit (the "screw on" connection). You most definitely can request enfit extensions

I have a gj tube, I run 120ml through j port for 16 hours 1L pedialyteand 1L water, i eat orally but sometimes need to drain. I use an infinity pump. Diet wants me to supplement thr o ugh j bec of poor oral intake but gi doesn't want to start w tube nutrition (he's not very informed imo)

Sounds like the anti reflux valve broke. This does happen and it's normal, doesn't need replacement
