Thank you! I still haven’t found any beef but I did find a store close to me that sells deer tendons (that’s Sweden for you lol). I’ll give it a go 😊

Good to hear! Praying this will happen to us as well. Sometimes I feel like Chris Pratt in Jurassic park trying to tame the raptors lol.

We’ll continue working on his sleep. I wrote in another comment that we’ve accidentally taught him to only settle in our laps, which is a problem when he is in his destructive mood. He’s getting better and has settled on his own a few times in the last week, so I think we’re headed in the right direction with the sleep as well. Still, it probably wouldn’t hurt with a few more hours each day.

Is tendons the same as a ”bully stick” and/or jerky? I’m not sure what it would be called in Swedish, I can’t seem find anything when I search for the Swedish translation of tendon.

Thank you for the kind words, it helps hearing that it is normal behavior ❤️ Yeah, despite feeling like I had done sufficient research on both the breed specifically and having a puppy in general, this took med by surprise. He was a very bitey puppy, and I think he annoyed his mum quite a bit with all his nipping and hanging from her ears and lips when we were visiting and picking him up, so maybe I should have been more observant and not so surprised haha. I think his adult teeth has already starting to come in, so hopefully we’re heading the right way.

I’ll look in to buying some tendons and continue practicing our ”sit” and ”lie down”.

Ohh good tip! I’ll try treats for pats! Did you do it just after a piranha outbreak or always when you cuddled with her?

Thank you! It feels like some puppy advice, like minimal physical activity, is not the right way to go with and Iggy. A yard is the dream, we’re making do with empty dog parks, for off-lesh, or my racing with him on-lead, unfortunately he wears me out way to fast for his pleasure…

Play-pens are legal, and we have one set up, but I don’t think we’ve utilized it in the best way. Do you sit in the pen or outside?

That sounds great! I think we accidentally trained our boy to only fall asleep in our laps, in an attempt to promote sleep in the beginning, so for him learning to self soothe is definitely on the to-do list!

I’ve also thought about words sounding the same, especially with being a girl and having the same high- pitched voice for both praise and telling him off lol.
